So, has the general consensus of the series lightened at all over the last video since it had some actual quality to it? Or is it still seen as the worst analog horror series ever?

I'm seeing fanart depicting the painter as a sexy women now. Must means the masses have forgave him.

Early fan art tried to be creepy. Newest fan art mostly memes and waifuism.

I get the general distate for horror that is more shocking than psychological, but these faggots act like they can't coexist together. Is there not a psychological element to seeing a human being mutilated to the point that you can't even recognize them anymore? Isn't it horrifying to know that there are sick individuals who rape and murder children?
Christ, when I saw Saving Private Ryan for the first time and Tom Hanks's character turns around to find the radio operator he was just talking to a second ago with a gory hole where his face used to be it genuinely freaked me out. That's not even a horror movie (inb4 "aktchually it's about the horrors of war") and it fucked me up seeing it.

I keep seeing the same people who committed libel against UrbanSlug now claim credit for his newfound success. “He only got good at animating because we bullied him!” Completely ignoring his growth in technical competency as the series progressed.

I love Rob Ager so much.

Agreed. Isn’t that literally the point of Hellraiser and the ending of I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream? The recent episode of The Painter reminded me of Johnny Got His Gun, which plays with similar themes about whether “death has a dignity all its own”. Like Johnny, Tina is now deaf and blind, on top of her physical crippling from the first incident.

Unlike someone born deaf and blind or made so by illness, like Helen Keller, Tina and Johnny live psychologically altered lives because of the source of their disability. Tina will now be constantly afraid of additional harm being done to her. She didn’t know she was being rescued and it’s unlikely she’ll ever fully feel safe again. She might remain paranoid that the rescue was all a ploy, that she’s really in Bill and Mona’s clutches, and understandably so. That’s why I think this episode was called HELL - Mona clearly didn’t think the events of WITNESS were hard enough on Tina. When Tina said that those who have been to Hell never come back, she inadvertently provoked Mona into showing her what Hell’s really like. And… honestly? Can’t say I disagree. Tina got off easy before.

It’s very hard to imagine a scenario where she finds the will to live. These sorts of questions about mortality, death with dignity, what injuries are too much for you as an individual to bear, etc. are powerful and emotionally resonant. But zoomers live cozy lives, and they’re young, so they don’t appreciate the horror of disability. That’s why so many of them pay for surgeons to inflict disabilities on them for the sake of fashion.

I think the stigma against it is like with jumpscares. It's easy and anyone can do it. Anyone can go "And then the person was stabbed 817 times all across the body, and had all their skin ripped off and teeth pulled out then all their bones were broken" or something similar.

LyraHorrorz who is a tranny. Tried to spread misinformation of UrbanSPOOK saying that he's a fetishist without any evidence to back it up. Then when people criticized him for spreading misinformation he deleted it (which I unfortunately haven't archived :() , he then made this tweet.

I'm just happy to see that horror is making people upset again, it has been a long ass time. The (fake) prudish zoomer generation was the perfect target and I never realized it.

"I remade the le heckin' problematic analog series to be like my favorite analogslop with generic VHS effects and emergency alerts! NOW IT'S ART, CHUDS!"

Huh, small thread, makes it easier to read through. I've nothing to say that hasn't been said but I'd take Urbanspook over these zoomie zippertit niggercattle any day of the rest of my life. Unless he turns out to be some super degenerate on the same level as the average pooner, in which case Total Analog Horror Death (TAHD). I remember someone or several people here who said that zoomers just...can't handle a villain who is irredeemable and unrelateable piece of shit. I agree wholeheartedly and there are others on normie spaces like Plebbit and Jewtube who actually agree with that as well.
Something interesting I read that I wanted to share:
sympathetic villains were made because of the overwhelming amount of pure evil villains. now that the sympathetic villains are the majority, it's time for pure evil villains to come back
I can't quite comment on the validity of this statement but I'm going to wager this is mostly true. Sadly people have taken the "villains are the hero of their own story" quote and...well, here we are. Bring me more Palatine and Tarkin, Thulsa "Snake Nigger" Doom (James Earl Jones was great in that movie though) and Thoth Amon, Borys and the other Sorcerer-kings of the Tablelands, The Major and his goons along with Incognito, I could go on and on. There's a place for sympathetic villains as there is for irredeemable villains, but I find the irredeemable to be worth more in the end.
