Honestly didn’t expect this thread to be posted on still besides the occasional post abt ppl freaking out over a horror series being about horror. Like im not saying that urban himself or his series is above critique (tho he was pretty based during the kister drama imo) but has there been any criticism that wasn’t “erm horror is being scary”

it comes from the weird millennial thing where villains can't be bad. like the big bad will still respect the hero's pronouns despite being generally awful. and when you deviate from that, the media is "bad" but no one can really quite say why.

I understand the general revulsion towards its Giallo-tier gratuitous grossout horror at the very least, even if it doesn't inspire monumental, performative rage within me.
