Really the irony of people saying things like UrbanSpook doesn't know how to do analogue horror - well, if I were being snobbish, I'd say almost none of them qualify as analogue horror, they're basically just animated storyboards filled with tropes and clichés with the occasional doodle of a monster.

Truth. Fucking. Nuke. I was grasping at straws for things that actually qualified as analogue horror. Still doesn't excuse the fact UrbanSpook is just boring and gay.

Vita Carnis lost my attention instantly when photographs of anatomy drawings done in pencil and lined paper started popping up during this supposedly ominous presentation.

Yknow that reminds me, I finally watched that Kane Pixel's Backrooms adaptation recently, still not autistically obsessed with it like a lot of zoom zooms, but there was a section near the end at the last video featuring the company's POV where there are a few really really fucking good pencil sketches that looks like it was made by someone who actually gave a fuck about presentation and not just some twitter artist's shitty gooner anatomy, and that it looks like something that would periodically fit in the time back in the 90s.

I wasn't feeling too into it fully just because of how gay the backrooms is with everything surrounding it, but these pictures alone kinda won me over in that "okay shit, this kid actually fucking knows what he's doing." I don't know if Kane or someone he hired made these, but my god is it refreshing to see some good art like this.

I think it would also be noteworthy to mention Chezzkids habit of backstabbing, I know he was one of the ones leading the Charge on the Mandela Catalogues guy (who don’t get me wrong is a weird fucker) but when he showed the logs proving that his ex was a bpd ultra psycho he was still leading the charge

People always overlook the Painter and the masked killer is inspired by real world serial killers, Ottis Toole and Henry Lee Lucas. Both were involved in random killings and child sex crimes together across Florida and the American South. Ottis Toole sent a letter to the future host of America Most wanted to try to blackmail him with the whereabouts of his son, Adam Walsh's bones.( The police only recovered his head) With a letter where Ottis confesses to raping and killing Adam Walsh with a machete. I find the analog horror community criticizing Urbanspooks writing for being over the top and shocking. Ignore the fact that real life serial killers are over the top and just as brutal as the painting killers. Never mind, he made the only analog horror series with zero supernatural and science fiction elements, which makes him stand out more than the gore.

I think that would best in the Analog Horror thread. This thread is for people who sperg about UrbanSPOOK constantly, if we did not have this thread then the Analog Horror thread & Nexpo/YT Horror Channels would be infested with users mentioning people sperging about UrbanSPOOK.

One thing I would suggest is to have the Pastaperc drama outside of the spoiler, since that seems to be a big reason as to why UrbanSpook is hated.
Aside from that, good thread. Had a video recommended to me recently that was about "the worst analog horror" and the whole community seems to be all soft and gay and likes to cry about topics being "too disturbing". Too disturbing. In a horror series.

In VC's defense in-universe that whole thing is a high school presentation by a bunch of kids who later got arrested for including secret government info, like the mimic attacking people and the singularity, they got from an other group trying to expose the connection between the creatures and the government.

I took a look at his other videos and they're mostly replaced by practical creatures. Given the creator is an artist crowdfunding a second 'season' of Vitae Carnis, I assume those first sketches were just lazy production quality.

Yeah, in a later video there's pic related. The reason there's the warning and beeping out of some information is because we're watching the confiscated sanitized version (although that's just a guess from my end.)

There's a good chance that it's just a way to excuse the early poor production quality, but the guy can draw creatures so it would be weird if he cheaped out on that specifically. As for the 2nd season, the guy hyped it up over the course of a 2 month long weekly countdown only to release 1 video over a month ago and nothing since. Why make it a season and hype it up as a big return if the videos come out whenever anyway...

I think Kane is one of the few good writers among this community, but he's really young so the backrooms shit and his usual subject matter were clearly influenced by the media he was consuming at the time. The Oldest View seemed like he wanted to take that philosophy into a more mature route, which I enjoyed. I even sent it to my Mother who also liked it lol.

I liked the series at first because since it wasn't supernatural, and the music/atmosphere/artwork was creepy enough. Then it just got ridiculous because it kept going longer than it should have. For a series that is supposed to be more grounded its silly that the killers still haven't been caught despite killing dozens of people and repeatedly been on camera. One of the victims was also encased alive in gallons of wax in his living room, how did they pull that shit off?

Should have just lasted 3 episodes and been about showing off the artwork with a clinical description of the victims as found by the FBI. Then at the end just say the killers still haven't been found to this day and the only thing they have going for them is the self-portrait which would be at the end. Keep it short and vague.

Bingo. I talked about it on the Nexpo thread a while back, but the worst thing Zoomers did was killing the mystery on horror. Everything needs an explanation, and an autistic, SCP-like, description and categorization, and that's of course only after their favorite Redditor makes a video essay on why random generic ARG/AH series is actually TRUE GENIUS and they should like it, watch it and hyperfixate on it.

Whatever happened to "last person on earth hears a knock on their door"? Shit, they might poison this too. Last person is actually a relatable depressed twink, and the one who knocks is a paranormal creature with le creepy smile and a sad backstory. They WILL be shipped.

On another note, specially from all the time I spent here, I am very skeptical of Wendigoon. More or less the same reasons as Turkey Tom. People insist they are "one of the good ones", but they seem to associate with troon adjacent communities, and will bend the knee for the shekels sooner or later (Tom already did). Wendigoon is particularly weird as he is Christian, and he probably knows the types that have infested online horror.

Chezzkids had a cool idea in a "web 1.0" horror but the execution is pure garbage. I'm supposed to suspend my disbelief that any adult involved in kids entertainment would actually post that shitty art to their site and expect it to work?

They could have done a creepy story about a rotten.com type site, except it posts crime scenes of crimes that haven't been reported or come to the public's eye yet. Dunno.

It's supposed to be a documentary on a serial killer who taunts police with artworks depicting how he kills his victims, but it went downhill almost immediately when UrbanSpoop forgot suspension of disbelief has it's limits.
