I tried watching this and unfortunately it is bad. I have no problem with gore, the art is serviceable but the writing stinks.
1. There is very little story development happening and the series becomes very repetitive.
2. Violence and gore are so excessive it becomes comedic. I wanted "Silence of the Lambs", I got Peter Jackson's "Braindead" but without the jokes.
3. The killer destroys all suspension of disbelief with his omnipotence. If the killer is a supernatural entity, it should be at least suggested somewhere in the story or hidden clues planted in the videos.

Speaking of Splatterpunk. The same analog horror faggots who hate urbanspooks, Art the clown and splatterpunk books just got humiliated at the box office. The same crowd that demanded horror be censored and inoffensive just got proven wrong. Low budget Terrifier 3 will be doing better than the 2000 million dollar budget Joker 2 Ass Rape boogaloo. There is a good argument for a standalone analog horror Derangement Syndrome thread. Because the faggoty of the YouTube analog horror community goes beyond people obsessed with canceling urban spooks at this point. They are advocating the censoring of 80s slasher movies for misogyny now.
 
I do love seeing zoomers offended over extreme horror books, then going on the subreddit for those books and seeing people laugh about fucked up horror stories. People who take the book Playground seriously are funny to me. Sometimes media is meant to be over the top edgy and tasteless for entertainment and that's fine.

These "safe horror" types can't shit on something for being mediocre or bad, they instead have to moralfag about how vile and disgusting it is and how they would NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER NEVER enjoy something like it, despite said media being nothing really noteworthy.

There's been a phenomenon amongst zoomers where they have to sympathize with bad people cause bad past no matter how horrible they are

A well-written villain can be more memorable and interesting to the audience than the main character. You mentioned Freddy Krueger but I doubt you would be able to name five of his victims. People remember Hannibal Lecter better than they remember Clarice, and even fewer remember Will Graham.
The problem is that Spook's villain is not memorable - he's just some unknown person \ entity who kills people in gruesome ways for unknown reason.
 
I'd argue there's a disdinction between Slashers like Terrifier and UrbanSpook's content. At least with most mainstream slashers, there are points directors won't cross, which consistently sits right with most audiences and allows them to respect directors, but with UrbanSpook, I think he's already stepped over those boundaries, which has seen large amounts of detractors.

Believe it or not, but look it up. Damian Leone has said he's got boundaries. UrbanSpook, however, practically nuked his credibility with the Fucktoy Cory stuff. Know the difference.

How did he nuke his credibility? How does having a child rape victim in a serial killer story nuke credibility?

Gore and slasher horror directors who claim to have boundaries are just hypocrites imo. "Oh I'm going to kill this young woman by shoving knives in her vagina, but don't worry, she's 18! It would be awful if she were 16, I don't approve of that at all!"
If you don't want to cross that line, that's totally fine. But you're really not any better than the people who do. You're still with the pigs in the mud.

It doesn’t resonate well with mainstream audiences, and overall makes him look like a clown as he tries to make it seem beneficial and less tacked on for the sake of shocking audiences for the 50th time. If he understood the criticism and moved on, though, his series would be considered meh with a really rough patch near the beginning instead of it being batshit insane slop.

Your typical “horror bro” would say otherwise, but it’s good to have outliers in statistics - Everybody perceives things differently, but discourse in communities can have similar talking points, so consider thinking in the mindset of a casual horror/slasher fan, which may encompass analog horror viewers in characteristics.

The new video was actually really good in my opinion and looking at the recent tweets so far, everyone seems to agree. Watch Xitter to see if some people are doing some cope / deflect and give reasons as to why UrbanSPOOK is the worst person to have ever existed.
