I was actually talking about Crazy Gail. But I guess it applies to Jaces mom also. Although I don't think she is schizo, simply a religious nut

I think if Gail didn't have religion, she'd have some other pseudo science cure to fall back on, like reiki or healing crystals or something,

I would like to see Gail use crystals to heal Jace.

:jacewtf:"My bitch terrorist mom is using these little faggot crystals to censor my lifestyle!"

Has there been any hint has to what Gail's denomination or church is? Since Jace always refers to Faggot as a Pastor then they're probably protestant unless Jace isn't being stupid about the what a is Pastor, but what I wondering is if they're part of a mainstream branch or some sort of fringe group?

This just might me being ignorant about other denominations (My faith being a Christian/Native beliefs) but Faith healing is something I usually associated with Protestants and Exorcisms was something I thought was mostly Catholic, unless someone can tell me I'm wrong the only thing I can think they might belong to a fringe group.

We're all confused as hell about this. Jace has said he's Catholic, but Pastor Faggot's title and antics suggest some kind of Evangelical Protestant denomination (and they do exorcisms all the time; to get a Catholic exorcism, you need the permission of the bishop, and the Worcester bishop would be "take your child to a mental hospital, not here" for sure---he has two master's degrees from regular universities and a doctorate from the Vatican university).

I"m like positive that Jace says he's catholic just so he can be Christian to repel the Islam, but also not the same Christian as his mom .

I know that most people consider Jace a schizophrenic, and not that I disagree with this generalization, but I really do think that this phone call is a textbook example of bipolar mania. Due to circumstances in my own life, I have had quite a bit of experience with crazy people who have similar symptoms as Jace.

To quote wikipedia (yeah, I know, not the best source but I'm lazy), in this phone call Jace is experiencing almost every symptom of bi-polar mania.
Mania is a distinct period of at least one week of elevated or irritable mood, which can take the form of euphoria, and exhibit three or more of the following behaviors (four if irritable): speak in a rapid, uninterruptible manner, are easily distracted, have racing thoughts, display an increase in goal-oriented activities or feel agitated, or exhibit behaviors characterized as impulsive or high-risk such as hypersexuality or excessive money spending.[7] To meet the definition for a manic episode, these behaviors must impair the individual's ability to socialize or work.[7][8] If untreated, a manic episode usually lasts three to six months.[10]

Also, Jace has also been prescribed Abilify before (though I can't remember when this was mentioned), which is commonly prescribed for people suffering from manic episodes of Bipolar disorder. I myself have been (mistakenly) prescribed this medicine, and I know from experience that it is not a fun medicine to be on. The side effects suck. I can see why he doesn't take his meds, but I definitely don't condone it in his case.

I just hope that Gail will come to her senses and make him go to a psychiatrist regularly. He seems to rapid cycle through moods... Depressed, manic, manic, depressed, and manic again. I doubt she will ever do that do to her apparent belief in faith healing, but one can hope.

Jace has said in chat that he does have schizophrenia and is on meds for the same. Back before we had any confirmation of his mental illness, I also thought he might be bipolar, but since he's come out and said it, we might as well work with the formal diagnosis.

Is it the formal diagnosis though? To him the Marines are also part of the Army.

Some of the people closer to the source might know a little more about this, but as far as speculation goes, Jace has no reason to lie about his diagnosis and it doesn't seem like something random his brain coughed up.

Probably the worst case scenario is also the best case scenario for Jace at this point.

It's highly unlikely to happen but I keep imagining a situation where an unmedicated, free roaming Jace, does something to harm himself, or others and must undergo involuntary commitment. Don't get me wrong, that's a big if. Jace has, for the most part, shown to be a wuss when it comes to any threats he's said but when it comes to his delusions he's immediately reacted.
Again, this likely won't happen. If he happens to get arrested (possibly for dealing or something stupid) I'm sure his mother will bail him out, maybe even acting as caregiver for him. But she doesn't want to address the illness and Jace does his best to deny it. It's unsettling and worrisome. With no driving force to actually make Jace seek help that wasn't drugs, I can't see this ending well.
