Duluth Trading Company currently has a 25% off and free shipping sale going on. I think the marketing email/text coupon will also stack with this discount. I'm trying to resist the urge to buy a second pair that I don't need, lol.
Sorry for OT, all - it's about gardening stuff, which is vaguely gnomey, right? @beautiful person I got a pair! Didn't go for the gnomes, though I was tempted. But they have a sale on now - I think all those overalls are $60-65. I also signed up for emails so got another 20% off - ended up getting the gardening overalls in Cedar, neoprene kneepads, a long-sleeved tee, a tanktop, and a gardening tote all for like $120, including tax (free shipping). Was very tempted by the fleece-lined version of the overalls, also, but I kept myself under control.

Sweet! I'd be tempted to get a second pair of the overalls for fashion purposes since I got paint all over my working pair... but they're all out of my size for any of the colors/prints I would want.

I was aiming for the reddish (“Raisin”) ones, but same. Based on reviews they also run large, but I figure if they’re a bit big, nbd, it’s gardening, better than snug. Still kind of hankering for the lined ones (it’s already chilly where I am and Spring stays chilly into June), but I will exercise fiscal prudence and just wear a base layer underneath if it’s cold…for now. Pretty excited about the knee pads, too - I’ve usually been “who cares,” but I’ve passed 50 (:_(and feel ache/pain from kneeling and digging in the dirt a bit more now. Can’t wait to get the delivery. Thanks again for posting these!

Have some videos, I'm on a kick today:

Also, I'm loving the "casual-" prefix on these things. It reminds me of "casual cosplay" back in the day.

I need to find a big rock and live under it for my goblinmaxxing.

Report from my little bit of woods:
  • It's an acorn year so there's going to be lots of acorns on the ground this fall/winter. There's already quite a bit, but soon it'll be like walking on marbles.
  • We finally got some sustained rainfall so everything's green again and the moss has been reawoken.
  • I ran into a big flock of wild turkeys on my walk the other morning.

I kinda can't stand the TikTok format, but I liked the girl with the accent talking to the mushroom and the bookshelf forest craft project from the first video. Might watch the other two later.

I don't follow any sort of gnomecore or cottagecore aesthetic in my home, but I keep an eye out for critters/feathers/bones on my walks and I bring home anything neat. I do have a lot of crystals; I don't think they hold power or anything but they just look cool.
I've got a collection of interesting things I've found innawoods near my job. Pine cones, a stick that was chewed on by a beaver, cool rocks, a couple giant moths, some bits of glass. I'd post a picture but I don't want to dox myself. One of my favorite things about my job is when we're not busy I can go wandering in the woods.

Be a cool kid like me and watch them with the audio off while you listen to music you actually like.

I love Mori Kei and am forever saddened by the fact it went out of fashion (heh). It's pretty much the cottagecore style after all. I hope it'll eventually see a revival or that a similar "comfy and cozy, but coordinated" style will emerge soon.

On that note, I absolutely need to step up my snugmaxxing game and invest in a big-ass wool shawl.

If you are the knitting type, big-ass bulky shawls come off the needles SO FAST. You could do it in a weekend if you want it in the "bigger than a scarf, not enough to sub for a jacket" size, or a couple weekends if you want to wrap up. I like that you can do a lacy-ish edge to keep it interesting with little effort.

Found this artist and I fucking love her work.
LorePemberton is the name.

Got my DT delivery yesterday and holy shit I love these overalls (tops and tote are nice quality, too). The overalls are amazing - they have 50,000 pockets in perfect shapes/sizes/closures, hidden fabric strips inside the lower leg to secure the cuffs if you roll them, and sturdy metal snaps/button hooks/buttons. They somehow manage to hang straight and slim while roomy, and the elastic shoulder straps are incredibly comfortable. They are also thicker/sturdier than expected so I'm fine without the fleece for spring-fall. My favorite purchase in years. I'm now inspired to blow/bag/rake the 90 million leaves on my property today (and they've barely begun to fall :O) and do fall pruning. Might go down another size on another pair in spring bc they really do run large, but I'm thrilled with this pair. TY again @beautiful person again for posting!

Dearli was my favorite Mori Kei brand back in the day. It seems they are gone now, which makes me sad. I had an opportunity to buy the coat in the last picture and didn't take it, and I've been pissed at myself ever since because I haven't been able to find another coat quite like it.

Went for a couple different hikes recently, saw many mushrooms, took many pictures of mushrooms. Reminded me of why this is my favorite time of year. Well, it's between Fall and Spring, when the wildflowers are out.

The abundance of pockets are great, aren't they? Glad you enjoy them :)

On another note, I haven't even started on my leaf-raking chores yet. So many leaves already.

Didn't even think to do that - thanks for the idea!

I found a juvenile deer skull fragment that had been gnawed on by a bear last time I was doing work on Kodiak. Brought it and some other bones back home.
The bones I found were part of what looked to be pretty much a whole skeleton, tho they were scattered. I assume it was a coyote kill and leftovers, especially since some of them looked like they were chewed on a bit.

I also brought home the skull and jaw bones.
