Gnomecore, Cottagecore, and Goblincore Aesthetic Thread - The feminine aspect of going trad and living innawoods.

As a sucker for fantasy and fairytale stuff, I've liked these sorts of aesthetics for a while now, especially cottagecore. Something about them is just really pure, cozy and soothing.

The irony is that I could never actually see myself living this sort of rustic outdoorsy life (especially not on a farm), but I do love nature, and the aesthetics are just so undeniably charming. It's extremely easy to fall into the rabbit hole and look at picture after picture.

I've always imagined myself earning enough money to at least buy a cabin in the woods or a small plot of land to herd sheep. I just always liked hands on work and can see myself doing all that and then downing a whole pitcher of milk with a helping of manna bread. Never fully lived a life like that but i've been close enough to like it.

Any aesthetic other minimalist utilitarian drabcore is feminine, bud. As long as you're masculine enough to pull off the fashion thing it doesn't really matter though. Some women like that sort of thing.
I've known flannel+blue jean rednecks that were as queer as the day is long and dandy hippy boys that had no time for that sort of thing and would square up if you implied they did.
As a man, it's more about the contents of the package than it is the wrapping paper.
Do whatever, just have the balls to own it.

I’m actually doing cottagecore. Just with a big farmhouse instead of a cozy cottage, but it’s more practical this way. Got two barns a bit downhill and the house itself between the fields and the woods. I’ve got wildflowers in the closest field and am renting out the other fields to a farmer who grows hay and buckwheat. My project this summer has been to expand the garden up to the edge of the forest, which I think will look good next year. Right now it’s kind of a mess though.

Meh, I'm definitely a hipster in a lot of ways, mostly music and food. I just can't be bothered to care about fashion. I relate to why Steve Jobs had a closet full of the same sweater and will probably end up doing the same just to streamline my day a bit more. It seems hellish to have to consider accessories and complimenting colors.

This unlocked a memory I'd almost completely forgotten. I got a little dragon statue once for my birthday as a kid and it isn't the same brand as this one, but it was about the same size. I wonder where it is now.

There's this pair of overalls that fit the goblin/gnome/mori/forest-girl aesthetic and lifestyle. Specifically the "Henna Garden Gnomes" print. This color was out of stock when I went to buy some (the two other prints didn't exist at the time and the prints were the same price as the solids back then), so I went with the "Fir" green. I got them on double-sale, so I only ended up spending about $50-$55 for them, but I kind of think they'd be worth it at the original price too because they're really high-quality and great for working in. Lots of pockets!
