One more Breaking Bad reference then I'll stop. Anybody know if there are better photos of Tyce? I'm working from the two videos DD posted and trying to put together a composite, but they're both kinda shitty and low res. I really like the "Before-After" of Jesse Pinkman and want to make one for Tyce, but I can't find a good frame of modern Tyce where you see his full head and his face.
On a completely different note:
It is rather disheartening to see how far Tyce has declined, but I wonder how much blame we can put on Jace for it. Nobody can deny that meeting Jace was the start (and he hasn't helped Tyce since, despite meaning well), but it seems like Tyce's self destruction took on a life of its own after Jace. Tyce is commonly referred to as "the master of getting blazed on household stuff" by Jace, and Tyce seems to be deeper into drugs and frying his brain cells than Jace ever could be (Jenkem and whatnot), and him being "high 24/7" is really the cause of his decline from a pretty normal teenager to a barely functioning human being. My guess is this started as a form of escapism to deal with his brother, probably Deagle Nation or his Juggalo family tried to console a deeply hurting Tyce by smoking weed with him so he could forget his home's troubles, (instead of getting some real help from a therapist) and he never came out of it.
But is this really the fault of Jace? He certainly started Tyce down this road, but I'm going to guess most of Tyce's degeneration came less from smoking weed and more from all the alternative methods of getting high from household (and bodily) products, which it seems like Jace has little to do with. Tyce's family also wasn't there for him. It sounds like the only person who could have really helped Tyce was his father, but he was seemed more interested in locking his son in his room when he couldn't (or didn't want to) deal with him, to the degree of denying him bathroom use. Its pretty safe to say if Tyce isn't allowed out of his room for a piss, he probably wasn't allowed out for any other human need, like food. Its kind of horrifying really, Tyce came from a well off family. His father had the knowledge and the resources to get Tyce real help. Its a pretty fair leap of logic to assume a criminal attorney would know when professional counseling would be needed by someone, and certainly would have the cash to pay for it. Instead, his solution is to lock his son in his room with a known spastic drug offender (whom was a client, mind you) and deny him his basic human needs.
Conversely, Jace's involvement with Tyce's destruction is an excellent example of "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions." Having little knowledge on how to deal with stress and trauma and having no real capital but a fuck ton of drugs, he helps Tyce the only way he can, self medication. That certainly wasn't what Tyce needed, and only fanned the fire that was building in his life, but it wasn't abusive in nature.
I would say Tyce's father is more to blame for creating the Prankmaster than Jace ever was.
