You know in those PSA's they tell how marijuana is a gateway drug? I always shrugged it off, but it's actually true with Tyce.

I feel sad now.
This made my heart sink a little

Anybody know if there are better photos of Tyce?
You could try hunting around the T-Zone livestream, there's a few moments where he has the entire screen devoted to his face with the game minimized, and he makes a few direct glances at the camera during these. It's a lot of footage to pick through so you'll likely find something. Also, he's doing a total psycho dead-eyed stare that entire time so it'd be really easy to compare and contrast with Young Tyce.

The white balance is really fucked up on his webcam though but you can probably correct that in Photoshop with a little fiddling, maybe applying a pattern overlay or something.

You might also try his TLOG video, I would begin your search around 3:35, although I don't think he ever gets his entire face in a single shot so you'll probably have to take a few shots from different frames and composite them together.

Unfortinately we have very little in the way of content from Young Tyce, the earliest ones I can really think of as possibilities are in the "Trial of ParkourDude91" stream, there's a few moments he talks into the camera, other than that it's really just his original "driving to mcdonald's" video.

I re-uploaded my favorite part of the stream. It's crazy how he just enters some sort of toddler mode, though, to the point where his arms are crossed and his voice becomes squeaky and high pitched.

Seriously, when Jace forcefully crosses his arms and pouts he reminds me of my six year old son. I love it when Jace turns into a kindergartener. (I hope my son doesn't turn out like Jace. Please God, don't let my boy turn into Jace.)

Not usually. While NICS is a national system, their database of information isn't. Not to mention, it rarely includes mental health diagnoses unless they were directly related to a felony or violent misdemeanor.

The only misdemeanor I know of that would prevent him from legally purchasing a firearm would have to do with domestic violence/domestic assault. Not sure if it prevents legal possession of an existing one, though. Also, a court order or condition of probation might prevent one from purchasing a firearm as well, at least temporarily.

As far as adjudicated mentally defective goes, that would be mentally defective in relation to a crime or court order of sorts, I believe.

Despite the permanent shit stain on Jace's record, him not being able to legally purchase a firearm anymore is probably not the worst thing that could have happened. In fact, it may be a blessing in disguise.

I just love Jace's crazy moments of impotent rage like that. DIE YOU TROLL, OR I WILL RIP APART THIS EMPTY DORITOS BAG!

So reminds me of Chris at times...it seems a lot of lolcows have this feature.

Correct. The only misdemeanor that prevents you from owning a firearm is a domestic violence charge. Fun fact, that doesn't apply to police officers. Some bullshit... Nothing makes you sicker than handing a pistol to a wife beating cop after his NICS call gets immediately rejected.

It seems that rules in general don't apply to police officers, or at least, many act that way. It's usually the younger, rookie, crew-cut having wannabe SWAT types that have this type of attitude though, not the guys who have been doing this for over a decade or even a few decades. But yeah, it's still bullshit that a wife beater can get his, and a stoner dudebro who made a stupid blunder in court over a relatively minor charge can't. (of course, this assumes the dudebro in question is not Jace, so this can go either way) Then again, people who probably did commit murder or arson or whatever got off due to technicalities as well. Relatively uncommon but it happens.

But that being said, badges shouldn't grant extra rights. And a man convicted of being a wife beater should not be allowed to be a cop anymore.

People have lost other jobs over less.

Being a Canadian, I'm tangentially aware that if you have a criminal record with convictions, you can apply for a pardon through some agency and, depending on the conditions of your record, have it sealed from people who would find the presence of a record adverse, such as prospective employers. Even then, there are some important limitations, but from what I understand it can really help those with criminal records. Does such a system exist in the US? I've heard that felonies are a whole different kind of serious compared to misdemeanors (such a gradient doesn't really exist in Canada), but surely Jace has some way to appeal or have his record expunged after a certain time.

In MA it can be done after 15 years, (10 years for non-felony) which is still quite far away for Jace.

I'm not entirely sure what it would accomplish though, I don't think he's even tried to be employed since, and it wouldn't actually remove the conviction, just make it invisible to the outside world. He'd still be unable to buy a gun, and he's already able to vote.

Yeah it's really for the best that he's a felon for life. For his own safety and other's.

Not quite. Tyce's demeanor and mental state have CLEARLY degenerated from the earliest we have seen him. Compare this:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=9IeNzosWOlAIn this video, Tyce seems like a pretty average dumbass stoner teen. The timeline would put this only a few months AFTER his brothers coma: remember that Jace said the biggest change in Tyce occured as a result of the coma. If he was this normal even after a crazy life-changing tragedy like that, how normal was he BEFORE it?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=sCFpZIqa-PENow look at this. This was after two years of being friends with Jace. Granted, a lot of the fallout of the coma must have taken some years (like the full extent of the divorce and Tyces mom going to crackwhoredom) but its still a huge difference.

TL;DR being dragged into Jace's crazy world of Deagle Nation had more of a profound negative effect on Tyce than his entire family breaking apart.
I think you're drawing a lot of conclusions from what little knowledge we actually have here here. Deagle Nation is a single part of tyce's life - a significant one, sure, but it doesn't go very far in explaining how much tyce has degenerated. Deagle Nationers, for the most part, don't huff their own shit, aren't racist, and aren't nearly as violent as tyce.

There are several possible explanations for what's going on with Tyce - it could be deagle nation, it could be the protracted trauma from his family situation, or it could be a series of genetic issues that have led to him naturally developing mental illness during puberty. I lean to the last of the three, personally, but I think it's a pretty bad idea to make assumptions of any sort at this point.

Or it could be him doing anything he can to get high, including huffing dangerous chemicals. Of course, it could be escapism from his shitty family life. Probably is.

He has always seemed to show the signs of being a psychopath, but maybe being the MacGyver of getting high brought it out further in him. Huffing shit, paint thinner and anything else he could find/secrete has fried his brain, but I think he was always malicious and reckless.

Ya know, three hours of an off-his-meds Jace chimping out is something of a comedic goldmine, but it's also something of a slog. So I'm gonna try to distill the madness into three or four episodes of concentrated schizophrenic hilarity. Here's the first part of part 1 of Deagle Nation Stories. Don't say you weren't warned.

Would have been a lot better without the unrelated and repeated clips that don't add anything to the experience.
