What is wrong with Oklahoma? I do not know much about. There is a nice Broadway musical with this name.
It's in Tornado Alley (the swath of the country that gets the most tornado action during the summer in the US), it's flat and dry a lot (no rain and petals eavesdrop there), and it's at least as conservative -probably slightly more - than Kentucky is. Unless she lives in or right on the border of one of the cities, she will also find her food delivery choices are not ideal for her discerning palate.
I don't know. The level of smothering we see from Amber, the control freak stuff clearly on display... even a stolid lump has to have a breaking point. But has Becky genuinely reached the point where she'll willing to throw over a level of discomfort with which she's at least familiar in exchange for scary unknowns? I'm guessing she's willing to take that step. I don't know her past relationship history but she IS mobile, has held jobs & seems better equipped to handle adult tasks compared to Amber - maybe not by much but surely enough to cope on her own.
What makes me hesitate is how cowed, how increasingly childish Becky has become since Amber entered her life. It's hard to imagine a prospective employer or landlord taking her seriously when she presents as a severely overweight, sullen, 10 year old looking individual but maybe wrenching herself out of the ALR orbit & the influence of friends & family may change that.
I think Big Al really screwed the pooch with Becky on how she treated Becky's family in general, and Norma in particular, and how she tried her hardest to isolate Becky from them - an then to top it off, not only was she rude as fuck to Becky's mother, but she made demands of Becky to care for her when Becky wanted to spend more time with her mother. She just failed to read that gauge and she's paying for it now. No amount of coloring books and snapbacks will cover that, no matter how nervous Becky may feel. Becky, actually, has the upper hand in this anxiety arena: she has friends and family who legitimately care for her and who would, in a pinch, take her in for a period of time while she got on her feet. Big Al has no one except her mother, and the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that MamaMeth does not want Big Al moving in with her and her partner.
As for Amber, she's got problems. She's 30 & her cutesy kittenish persona is at odds with both her age & her blatantly bloated, useless, helpless self. There may be people willing to take that on but the pool of those willing to jump into an overtly problematic situation has got to be small.
That last stream, where Big Al muted their end while she told Becky what "friend" she's been talking to - that has me curious as to whether that is the next butler in waiting.
I'm willing to bet Amber is doing her damnedest to keep Becky as her Prime Minion. Becky is a known entity & Amber is narc enough to think she can make just enough superficial changes to keep Becky in her orbit. If Becky is aware of that manipulation though, I don't think it's going to work.
She is saying flat out that Big Al needs to start working on her shit, including sleeping alone, so I think she's on her way out, 100%
Amber sees herself as some skinny, sexy influencer who wants to parade around on the beaches of Cali. In her mind, she’s too good for OK or KY or any other fly-over state.
In reality, she’s a gross pile of pure lard with hoarding tendencies. She is trailer park trash personified. She is the embodiment of gluttony. And this will never change.
I'm sure she also is aware that "other YTers" like Trisha Paytas, et al, live in LA or NYC, and not in some Podunk town in flyover country. We know she thinks she's on a level with those "other people".
Why does she even hate Kentucky when all she sees is the inside of her apartment and the inside of national brand stores?
Surely it wouldn't matter which states Wolmart or Owlive Garden she is in, as they all look the same?
See above.
If Amber moves to Oklahoma, will we see her lean into the cowgirl aesthetic? Yee haw y'all!
Anyone know the average number of cowhides it takes to make a totally leather cowgirl outfit? We can extrapolate from there how many cows would have to die to cover this cow.
Can’t wait for the “I was akshully never even attracted to Becky” confession a few months from now.
"Density is still my one true love."
