Not really a violent person, but I've never wanted to break someone's jaw more.
Surprised the pig pled guilty but an inevitable slap on the wrist unfortunately.
Still at least the cunt's 'clit' rotted away

The sentence is clearly going to be public guillotining because this is Canada, but since Yaniv is a tranny, they'll bring out the pride colored blade instead.
Dude the look on his face when he realizes his neck is really locked in a guillotine and there really is a 300 pound blade about to behead him and he can't really do shit about it would probably be the funniest facial expression a human being is capable of making.

So? We already know the worst they're likely to do is give him a stern look and tell him he's been a naughty sexual deviant

It's Canada; they have even less balls than he does
Probably so but this is what the law says. If HE gets anything it will be suspended, because tranny.

"uttering threats", for my own worry, does Canada really punish you for making a sideways smartass remark now?

"uttering threats" is telling someone you're going to kill or maim them. It generally exists as a means to quash organized crime threats - but obviously can be used against others. In the video, fatso very clearly did utter a thread of bodily harm to Billboard Chris.

It's not a provincial (State, for you Americans) law it's a federal law, so the penalty and charge are the same almost anywhere else in the country. Except for Quebec, I know they have their own Criminal Code equivalent.

Piggybacking on this. The term "uttering threats" might seem completely retarded and far too vague for the Americans here, but Canada's Criminal Code defines this term as:

"Uttering threats
264.1 (1) Every one commits an offence who, in any manner, knowingly utters, conveys or causes any person to receive a threat
  • (a) to cause death or bodily harm to any person;
  • (b) to burn, destroy or damage real or personal property; or
  • (c) to kill, poison or injure an animal or bird that is the property of any person."
Any offence to paragraph (1)(a) can lead to an imprisonment of up to five years or it's "punishable by summary conviction." This is what Johnathan's clearly charged with, but he can always get much, much less than five years. Sadge.

He will either get a suspended sentence for a year or two again at best or what's most likely is he will get 1-2 years of probation if history is a pointer. His probation conditions will be to 'keep the peace,' to not possess any weapons, a strict no contact order with Chris, and to remain living at his strata and notify and get court approval if he wants to move. That's it, that's all.

Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned probation conditions will trigger an instant warrant and/or immediate incarceration with basically no chance of bail for breech of probation. That breech would then cost him a couple months in jail. A breech in this case could be as simple as just tagging Chris in a tweet or having any more interactions with police.
I would only add that whatever sentence will be imposed has in all likelihood already been decided and was accepted by Yaniv as part of an agreement predating his guilty plea (not that we are privy to these details).

More criminal cases lead to a plea deal than go to trial; trial includes the greatest cost of time and money for the court and is often avoided where possible, although it remains the only option if the defendant firmly maintains they are not guilty. Also relatively uncommon is to plea guilty without a deal (essentially throwing yourself on the mercy of the court). The most common scenario is that the defense counsel will negotiate with the Crown prosecutor to dial in a sentence that is acceptable to both the defendant and the Crown (and that also must be acceptable to the judge who will ultimately impose the preagreed sentence).

The negotiated deal could be a conditional discharge (i.e., live under the restrictions Dizzydent described for X number of months; fuck up and get fucked, or keep your nose clean and escape without a criminal record). That would be a likely outcome if this was his first violent offense but given the outcomes of his other legal troubles in the last year, it's less likely, and he would be very, very lucky to be offered any kind of discharge situation. The best deal on the table would probably be less appealing than that, but his lawyer probably told him that it's the best he can get and that he should take it. My money would be on a suspended sentence or similar slap on the wrist. We can hope for more.

Does he actually have a lawyer in this one. The Judge had to threaten the Lawyer for his last trial against quitting or Yaniv firing him. He was the third lawyer.

I'm shocked he pled guilty. Do they do plea deals in leafland?
His inactivity on social media, & now this. I'm wondering if he may have a real breakdown, his life gone to shit, all the legal issues now with the defamation case. Whatever became of him suing Langley?

Of course there’s plea deals. It saves the court system a LOT of operational fees; judge/justice of the peace, usually two clerks, a stenographer/transcription app and tech, bailiffs, crown fees, the use of a courtroom preventing another case being heard, etc.
