1) Its summertime. You know, when people take their families on vacations in cars. Or go to waterparks, et. al. Kids out of school. Higher Demand means less supply.
2) A lot of states, like Texas, use a summer blend to make sure gas does evaporate while sitting in the tank. It costs more to make vs the blend they use in the fall and winter.
