Anyone else annoyed by the hysteria from people about the tariffs? I mean yeah it sucks that the clothes and accessories I buy from Taobao are going to go up in price and that I can't buy chinese makeup from certain vendors now but people are acting like prices going up is the end of the world when really, these tariffs will probably only last a couple of months. It just sucks when I look on social media to see how exactly the prices are going to change on specific sites and all I see is people acting like no one will ever be able to buy stuff from China ever again.

Had to order a bunch of router bits online, and friend told me to go to aliexpress, and since I was already there I looked up cheap sunglasses as well. After browsing for a while, I have to ask.

How has china not have been nuked into glowing, beryllium glass desert yet? Every single offer, even from "official brand stores" is as dishonest as possible, full of buzz- and keywords that are only tangentially related to the product (I'm assuming it's to manipulate whatever SEO chink e-markets use), full of, because opinions supposedly from Poland come with grammar errors not even the dumbest Poles would have made. I'd have shopped locally, but local e-markets either don't stock this shit, or offers are direct 1:1 copies from aliexpress (down to seller's name), just twice as expensive.
Had EU had balls, they'd just tariff this shit 300% out of spite, so chinks have to at least larp as real humans if they want to trade with actual people.

It's called "卷" or in english as "to tumble"(cutthroat)/reap the whirlwind. Too much competietion in China so all the manufactures are desperate for foreign buisness.

What are you looking for exactly in router bits (price and quality too)? I might be able to the link to proper OEMs in China and not the rip-a-foreigner off sales division or e-commerce middlemen.

This is NOOT NOOOT okay! IMG_0014.webp

I think that I'm the only person in the world who despised Pengu.
NOOT NOOT no i didn't like the autistic claymation penguin either.

I've not bought anything off chinesium for awhile but i had a recommendation on YT for a guy that tested bike gear of TEMU. It was interesting some of the non essential bike gear stuff, like the bluetooth helmet speakers for music was good and some of the bits and bobs like a tank bag or a backpack was alright.

I used to use these websites a lot more in the past, but what completely deterred me from touching them is how aggressively anti-user they continuously keep getting: search results for the same thing being vastly different depending on the time of day and whether you accessed the website before or not, misleading pricing, intentionally hiding listings that are more accurate and cheaper in favor or more expensive ones and so on. The websites have grown to be cluttered, facebook-tier minefields where it's a hassle to navigate them, even with an adblocker enabled. At this point I'd rather buy something from a local supplier for a slightly larger price, just so I'm at least being treated with enough respect to be correctly presented and told what I'm trying to purchase.

I buy Temu miniature dollhouse kits and I love them for the cost and the charm of building everything yourself. Meanwhile, Rolife feels like cheating, they look easier to assemble.

I did buy a printed cross stitch kit (printed meaning the color key thing is on the fabric) and when I finally set aside a day to do it, I OPENED THE PACKAGE AND THE FABRIC WAS A DIFFERENT DESIGN. It was so cute too, it was a bee, but I got a bear of some sort. My options on Temu are “we will refund you” but I don’t WANT a fucking refund, I want to send this bear back and get my fucking bee. I bought that kit for a reason! I liked it!

Please update us on a picture of the bee when you get it, coz it sounds hella cute!

I turned out to be too retarded to figure out I have to log back into Temu every day after I made my order to get the free items. I'm agog at kiwis in this very thread who send a thousand bucks to some chink on Whatsapp and actually get the high-quality things they ordered.

Soldier on brave postin pals, I can't even manage to get my free promotional counterfeit Scrub Daddy sponge.

Has anyone ever ordered a phone from one of these sites? I see Huawei and shit like that on there for like $30-50 all the time and part of me really wants to get one just to see. Would chink lasers penetrate my mind? Immediately on a Chinese database list?

I've gotten a "cheap" Tracfrone phone from a big box store because I wanted a "spam" phone (for companies that insist on sending me text messages).

Well, it was chock full of all the boatware you could imagine. I didn't even end up setting it up because the level of safety I felt using it and storing personal info was next to nil.

Might be different for an unlocked phone from China, but just an anecdote I wanted to share if you're concerned about privacy.

However, for $30, might be worth a shot to try one. Just don't blindly agree to everything when you set it up.

I question why people by Chinesium safety clothing at all. Just ride squid. You're putting on Chinesium safety gear that does no such thing in a lowside crash, why even wear it. You'll need the money anyway to go towards the hospital bills.

I'll expand this by everything that will kill you when it does fail, like a car jack or a spring compressor.

Interesting! I wouldn’t want to replace my current Ameriphone, I’m just a little autistic about technology and I think it would be cool to have one especially for how cheap it is, not for use.

But that's the charm!

My mom and older brother keep ordering shit off of Temu and I don't know what to do, I think they're addicted.
Temu is literally modeled after a casino so it would not surprise me. You "win" every time and at checkout a new lottery pops up telling you that you "won" and just need to add $20 with of stuff for $200 off! ( Given to you in 20000 seperate coupons of 1cent off - limited 1 coupon per order that all expire in 3 days )
AliExpress is no nonsense, I do think Temu is good for like... Cheap Plastic Tupperware containers, if you don't mind Chinese chemicals seeping Into your food.

I have a hankering to buy a bunch of retarded bullshit, and until the tariffs I used to do that on eBay.

Is AliExpress currently the best Chinesium shopping site for a dilettante in the USA?

I'm not buying clothing, and mostly not mechanical parts. Probably a lot of colorful stickers.

Unfortunately I'm not American, so idk the tariff situation. Everything is so cheap it probably doesn't matter tbh.
I think for colorful kids stuff Temu is a bit better than AliExpress but they all kind of have everything.
If you are looking for stuff for kids ( I assume you are actually an aunt who may or may not be named Carol) I got a cheap drone that actually flies for like $10 on temu ... I had to stop using it indoors because it was scaring my cat.
