I made a Temu account and an order to try it out. Man, the site is difficult, though.

The fake deals and attempted time pressure are annoying, they're really pushing the mobile phone app
The mobile app is exactly the same. Honestly, I found it unusable. I even tried playing some of the games/deals thingies, didn't actually save any cash, instead wasted a ton of time I could have actually been shopping. Aliexpress has its own frustraiting and scammy elements, but Temu is much, much worse.

The fake deals and attempted time pressure are annoying, they're really pushing the mobile phone app, and unless I missed it, there's no "wishlist" or save for later function. I'm assuming that's by design, so people add the thing they were looking for to their cart and then feel like they "have to" add more things to make the minimum free shipping order.

Are any of the consumer Chinese import sites more set up for a slow user, or are they all doing the overt psychological pressure pricing/shopping?

I was using eBay for parts, supplies and cheap tat, and before that DealExtreme which was janky back then and is gone now.
When Temu first rolled around they were, I remember getting literally 150$ in free shit when I first signed up. Gone are those days for anything.

Did free shipping on AliExpress just completely go away in the past year or two? Now all I can find when I select it is 'Free over <x> amount' and 'Choice', which is some other nonsense.

You used to be able to get lil shitter stuff shipped free for no hassle. Now it seems to be impossible 🤷‍♀️

So I found out there was a 30 dollar sams club exclusive super articulated Buzz lightyear model kit that has a light up display stand. Only issue is it's REGION LOCKED TO SAMS CLUB CHINA ON TOP OF BEING LOCKED TO SAMS CLUB WHICH IS ALSO BAD IN A SENSE.

Anyways I'm posting in this thread after looking up to see if there was a thread on these kind of things because I found out there's like a discount on some of the (scalper) reseller listings on Aliexpress that puts it down to basically at near MSRP when you factor in the actual costs of the "free shipping"

I don't even give a shit it doesn't have any action features aside from the wings flipping out my broke ass did a pay in 4 on one and I'm considering adding custom glow paint to it when it gets here but even with that lighter green being more movie accurate there's a clear reason they always go with this deeper lime green on the merch.
Anyways the sales end in a few hours in case anyone into this kind of autism.

Judging by how late the estimated arrival date is I'll have some time to think on what to do and add or not add.

you need to cross post that on most autistic purchase recently. That's pretty bloody cool though!

If you like hunting or tacticool gear...

On Temu, the BDUs and ripstop camouflage is high quality, durable, and I order all the time for hunting. It's easily half the price of the Amazon equivalents.

Just double check the sizes. I'm a pretty big girl, 5'8" and 150lbs, and I usually need to order Asian small sizes. (Which is ironic, because usualy the inverse is true for American to Asian sizes for most cosplay clothing) Check the actual measurement and verify inseem, waist, etc

Don't forget to do the refund method on Temu once in awhile! Here's how you do it:

- Open Temu app
- Account
- My Orders
- Go to a recently arrived order (choose an order that's younger than 3 months)
- Click on return/refund
- Select an article. Make sure it's not too expensive. Little articles seem to work best.
- Click on reason for the return. Then select no longer needed (add some nonsense commentary if needed)
- Continue and choose the option for free money return.

Repeat this as much as you can. After awhile it won't work anymore. Don't open the app for awhile. Then come back and try again. I've gotten a lot of money back this way.

Eww you use the app, just do the same thing on website.

Also there seems to be a hard limit on free items that they bin anyway i can get it up to about $15 however you can't price match and "return" it at the same time anymore it's either one or the other.

Fucking gooks.

The hard limit seems to be $15. Anything less than that you can typically keep for free and they refund you or give credit.

I tested that theory had my temu order delivered today. I got my price adjustment done first got about $10 back from that and then i did the refund request made up some bullshit on my expensive stuff and got $20 back off my order. It was only two items but i got to keep them anyway so i got most of my order for under $20.

I mean the gooks aren't stupid they'd know everyone is scamming them, but they must make so much money they can just write it off.
