Yea, it's the mx5 for people too snobby to drive one and too poor to race but don't want to admit that.

For 8k being nothing, he still begs for money a lot.

Those cars aren't awful, but if you care about anything aside looks, you NEED the S. John's isn't. This isn't a case of it's down a few HP or a cool wing. The entire brake suspension etc is different by a big deal.

I love cars and own more than I'd like to admit, I wanted to get one as a beater, so I did my research and yeah no, those non S sub 10k ones are a dime a dozen for good reason, it's not a good car it's made for people like John. Now if you want an S 12-15K. You can throw a few bucks at it have a great car. The amount of time and work you have to put into the non S to make it as such you are behind cost wise. And you can't say, put upgraded brakes for an S on a non and be set.

John can't afford to race, so he got a car that has a brand name of race cars, well earned. This car is what they (the company) uses to fund racing. Selling to people who don't want or like to drive but want to show off. The newer boxsters are hot even base, it's something many people are happy with, because some people just don't have the cash and really want a P car. But now none of them are jokes, like the early boxsters John has.

Rarely we see them at track days, and I have 0 problem in my little civic running them down, even with competent drivers. They are heavy and under powered, lacking the S package frankly they aren't even nimble and none have the tire to make up for poor chassis.

Oh ya, we know John has an awful history on up keeping anything, those aren't the worst upkeep (probably cheapest of it's brand) but when you neglect shit on the regular things go wrong fast. I'm sure it'll end up as TT 2.0 left to rot out side as the new toy shows up.

I'll put the tl;dr of the spoiler here, if you give a fuck about cars you get the S, rip the muffler off rattle can the body and swap the oem springs out, for less than 15k you have a rather fun car with a greatly respected brand. If you don't care about cars you pull a John Walker Flying.
 
If John tries to pass this off as a campaing expense I can’t imagine how it won’t run afoul of FEC rules. Back in 2016, Anthony Wiener’s campaing got popped by the FEC for some pretty minor stuff like buying some cell phones which fell into personal use and some AV equipment. I guess we will find out in the quarterly filing. Even if the FEC doesn’t crack down, someone buying a Porsche on the campaings dime is a probboly a pretty juicy news story

Also, you can rent a convertible at almost any car rental place for < $100 a day.

I wish Wu hadn't fired Warren, then we'd get some photos of the trannymobile on location. I wonder who exactly was driving it if not BriBri? She's said that Frank can't drive a manual, and nobody else is insured.

She's full of shit, all the pics of her bringing home her base model boxster Frank was driving.

I'm sure Frank was behind the wheel because aside Warren who else gave/gives a shit.

I'm sure in a few hours FB photos of the parade will pop out and someone will happen to have a candid of Wu because no one is there for him.

It should at the very least say "U.S. CONGRESS."

"US CONGRESS" in all caps looks like an illiterate person claiming to be Congress. Then again, that might be exactly what John intended, what with him being illiterate and believing that upon election he will become good emperor of the universe.

I do wonder if this was an attempt to clean out what's left in the campaign coffers before shutting the whole thing down. It would explain why they bought something so superfluous.

Well, we'll see in the next two weeks or so. If it were anyone else, I'd say it was a ridiculous notion, but you never know with Wu.
She has been spending actual money on at least some campaign-like things lately. It's going to be an interesting FEC report I think.
 
So, still no photos of John or Frank at the parade. No flood of tweets about the crowd fleeing for their lives mobbing the beautiful, young candidate while screaming in terror cheering wildly and mockingly yelling "John! John!" enthusiastically chanting "Brianna! Brianna!"

Can we safely assume that Nosferatu and his Celestial Homunculus took a couple of shots of the car in front of their carpetbagger rent house and called it a day?
