This is a man currently falling for several of the oldest and most obvious scams on the Internet, even after being warned how they would play out. So that’s how stupid he is. But he also thinks he’s far smarter than basically everyone in the world. So that’s how stupid he thinks everyone else is.

I'm pretty sure the re-telling of his arrest will have no less then half a dozen cops trying to pin him down to put the cuffs on and everyone in his pod being either terrified or enthralled by him.

He has claimed to have paid for them to come for the gem shows and help him sell. So he probably would have some reason to believe they are there. Also, he believes customs isn't hard because he kept believing they would be here and only needed to send a few hundred dollars to get the wheels greased a bit
They could totally have their uncle who's a prince pay his bail if only Tom would give them his bank information
Tom is in too deep to the scam to need this. Just gotta say its somebody else's fault and they need a little more to finally get him these magical stones that will take Real Things International to the next level

Current suspicion is he's in the hospital, not jail. Looking up his name on the Arizona inmate search has no results, male or female. That means he's either out, or being held outside the inmate system (i.e. an involuntary psych hold). Seeing as he hasn't used either facebook accounts, hasn't logged into here or AMB, and according to some members there his phone is going straight to voice-mail... well, it's probably going to be the 21st when we hear any updates.
Doesn't he live in the barrio? I know Tom is a coward, but given his belligerence I'm honestly surprised some idiot hasn't shot him yet. I don't mean some tattooed gangbanger, I mean some young, dumb, hothead with a chip on their shoulder that thinks, rightly or wrongly, Tom has disrespected him.
He only asses out when he knows the person he’s dealing with can’t fight back. What’s telling is when he started claiming that he could totally take that cop in a boxing match (so feminine), but also made sure to remind the cop that it was illegal to hit him under present circumstances.
