Yep. I actually have a rule of thumb that states "When you look back, you will hate the guts out of the person you were two years ago". This more applies to when you are a teenager I've noticed, since I've gone from wanting to punch myself in the face to just being baffled at a couple of my life decisions, but its still quite applicable.

Something I've noticed with a lot of agender or non-binary people on Tumblr is that most of them seem to have been born female. In your opinion, do you think that this may be a reaction to society's treatment of girls and women, and wanting to opt out of the sexist treatment that women often receive the brunt of? I say this because when I was growing up, I did not want to be "one of the girls," I wanted to play with boys. Also, I wanted to be a dog, but that's besides the point. Later I came to be comfortable with being a girl once I realized I didn't have to conform to strict gender roles, even if I prefer to present as more androgynous. I pose this question not to be rude, but to perhaps allow you to ruminate on this, whether or not it might apply to yourself.

Hey! I think that might have to do with it for some, but for me personally, I had dyphoria all of my life. Like, long before I had any comprehension of females and males and the differences they had in society I did the classic ""non girl"" things and as time went on I hated my body more and more and realized I was uncomfortable to downright suicidal when it came to being called a girl. But I think for some, it does come from a pressure to not want to be a girl because they didn't want to conform to the gender roles that went along with it? Or (like my partner, who's a nonbinary lesbian) they feel like they don't "fit" being a woman because they don't conform to femininity in the way society expects?

Idk tho. Like I said, I'm trans 100% because I'm dysphoric honestly *shrug*

...Say I even believe it and won't misgender. How about no "die truscum" stamps and hatespam on dA from you both?
....
Both registered there to DRAW. Not take it out on random passerbys and be all "die truscum im su speshul uvu ye~~~~".

I actually am registered to draw. I made my account right after designing my new fursona (although threats of being doxxed also scared me off of my old account, and wanting to change my name since I was still using a nickname for my birthname on the old account). I love to draw and there's a lot of art in my gallery! As for "die truscum" uh. I don't actually have any anti-stamps, let alone any stamps at all, on my page, so I don't really know where your accusations are coming from.

In fact, I'm completely against "tucutes" as I've had lots of them personally invalidate my dysphoria/outright call me transphobic for having dysphoria, and 'Ive seen them say it's okay to "trigger trans men" or say "truscum don't deserve to transition" which is fucking gross?? So like. I don't agree with truscum but I'm neutral overall bc the opposing side is equally shitty.

So like, I pick fights sometimes, yeah, but I'm there to post my art and I don't have a single "hate stamp" on my account lol. And even so misgendering someone is shitty? Like, even if you don't like them it's not okay to misgender people? It just means you only see their gender as valid if they're a good person ._.

Also for the record, the people who've listened to me and talked to me have been really surprisingly nice so thank you for hearing me out!

We're actually a reasonable bunch of social r_tards when you get down to it. Point is you've been pleasant, you haven't flown off the handle and honestly you're pretty chill all things considered. I don't actually understand your social sexual confusion and honestly I'm not going to pretend to but that shouldn't matter.

In any case, welcome to the Kiwi farms.

That's alright, I don't mind people not understanding, the same way I don't understand people who feel like their bodies and genders match up haha. I just want it to be respected, even if it's not understood.

Typically seems that we give what we get, and you've been pleasant and forthright, and I say that as someone who asked you some pretty intense questions (which, again, I appreciate you answering).

I still do not understand the FNAF thing

Haha, idk? I mean, I won't lie, I heard about it through Tumblr and got involved because of Tumblr. It's just a cool concept with neat character designs and pretty fun game play? Like, I'm not even part of the furry aspect of it with the sexual Foxys and stuff omg, I just think the game itself and the backstory/lore and all is really neat.

I missed the end of this conversation last night to sleep; I'm happy to see it didn't go south while I was away : )

Oh, btw, I saw you guys mentioning Vade a lot. Just for the record, I've only interacted with them (it? idk their pronouns sorry they change their URL too often I don't even know what it is so I can't check) maybe once and it wasn't a pleasant experience. They took something I said regarding self diagnosis and using lots of labels out of context (I was talking about how to identify trolls in the SJ communities) and accused me of being truscum and were all around really nasty with me? Which was weird bc especially at the time I used tons of labels for my own orientation (this was a few month back). And I wasn't even talking shit about either of those things, I was just saying that trolls had a tendency to do both of those things.

So idk just in case u guys thought I was in cahoots with them (it?)

If we're being completely honest the people I'm the most comfortable around and spend the most time with on Tumblr are social justice critical people - that is, people who agree with the points of the SJ community but also see that it's toxic as fuck because of misinformation being spread and lack of fact checking and tons of hatred and harassment and a LOT of overlooking certain groups (especially mentally ill folk and lesbians from what I've seen)

You should read the Vade thread.

It's one wild ride.

(Been there, done that, agreed.)

Darn, wrong profile came to mind (confused with some kid - an actual 13 years old - who did have them). :sighduck: Sorry, rechecked yours by now and yes, there's only regular pics.

Still, what's with the "pssst" journal? What's with that -
NOT SUPPORTING GAY PEOPLE IS LITERALLY HOMOPHOBIC I cannot believe this argument even has to happen holy shit
@ all straight people: disappear please
By the same token, if I don't give a damn about - and heck, don't see a point in* (more on that after next quote) - that whole heap of orientations people keep coming up with, and want to just focus on their skills/hobby/name/mind/ anything that doesn't involve crotch region and 89237563 types of attraction, I'm a 'phobe and a bigot? And so is anyone who is from a different culture? Give me a break. O_O If you're a fellow ace (AFAIK), shouldn't we, like, try and ace everything we do instead of stewing in own negative?

That's alright, I don't mind people not understanding, the same way I don't understand people who feel like their bodies and genders match up haha. I just want it to be respected, even if it's not understood.
*same with me not understanding what orientations and attraction are for, haha. Not that I'm on a 25/8 e-jihad against those who has them, though. Their business, I'm out of it.
As for respect? You will be. With time :) I think simply stating "having a hard time figuring out X/Y/Z" or so will do better than a textwall on each and every mental problem. Aaannnnd... maybe a fresh account would also help?

And yeah, thanks for acting more sane than the linked posts show. :] Consider whatever negative I sent your way shredded & forgotten.

I'm sorry for any hostility that I did show you, Splash, you actually seem pretty alright from the replies I have seen here.

Well, since you were nice about it and didn't fly off the handle, I apologize for calling you a girl on the first page of this thread. For what it's worth, I think you might want to take a break from Tumblr, at least for a while. Is there anything you are very passionate about, like music or art? You can use that as an outlet.

You also said that you at least "partake in" cisphobia in your first post. What do you mean by that? Do you actually dislike cisgender people or do you get fed up with them, or what?

Haha no I don't hate cis people or anything. I mean I find some of the jokes funny and I'll rant about them in a generalizing way sometimes. You know like how people say they hate their parents when they really don't? I don't, like, wish harm on them or anything but yeah I'll rant about em and stuff. I mean, there will be days where I just see tons of transphobia or ignorance towards trans people and just think "god I hate cis people" but not in a? Serious way?

Can you provide a legitimate source for this claim?
Er, this isn't something I can exactly source, it... Shouldn't have to be? Like not to be rude but it's based on logic: I mean if you want to look into dysphoria and how that works you can but it's just that those who are dysphoric can be as much as suicidal or self harm bc of hating their body and "assigned gender" so much so to be called the wrong gender can remind them of how much they hate themselves/their body. So it can cause self harm and suicidal ideation.

Still, what's with the "pssst" journal?
Oh if we're being honest I was just pissed off. Not a very good excuse but at the time I had been talking to a really ignorant person and got super irritated so yeah oops
