5:30 am is a bizarre time to start an elective surgery. Usually the surgeons have to finish the morning ward round before going to the theater.

If he's being admitted near midnight, it might be to a holding ward and he might get transferred to another area before rounds. I definitely wouldn't expect them to be starting elective surgery before day shift but every hospital seems to handle the hours before surgery differently. I would expect him to be first on the list for that day, though - it's not a short operation.

In the US, first procedures usually begin around 0700. Surgeons are usually at the hospital by 5-5:30 to begin seeing their early cases prior to surgery. Day shift for nurses/techs generally starts at 0600 so they can get the theaters ready. Most likely he meant he's being moved to pre-op at 5:30. He would definitely be one of the first cases of the day, seeing as it's a major and long procedure.

Yeah but all of this is operating under the mindset that Phil is actually receiving this surgery . Which he's not.

And what exactly does he mean by post-op physical therapy? Besides dilation, you shouldn't really be touching or moving down there for at least 3 months, even if it's just the muscles around it.

I tried to get a clue by looking on Marci Bowers' site, but there's nothing which really fits that timeframe (she has her patients return to be taught dilation on day 6 after surgery). I did notice that she tells her patients to stop hair removal at least 3 weeks prior to surgery, though, and Phil has only allowed 1 week.

I was also wondering why Phil would suddenly become exercise obsessed (11 mile hikes?). Then I remembered that all surgeons have a BMI limit for SRS.

One curious thing I didn't notice on Phil's calendar was stopping estrogen. I did a search on his supposed surgeon and several people who had SRS with Dr Dugi mentioned a requirement to stop estrogen two weeks prior to surgery.

I don't mean this as an a-log but simply because he's allowing 4 four days bowels prep (is he planning to starve ?)
For those who don't know this is basically a cleanse of your bowels so you don't shit all over everything during a long surgery.
Now again I only work for a brit fag hospital and clearly know nothing of the super awesome and definitely real Latinx surgery Phil is getting but typically you get a purge drink as part of your pre-op, quite often the night before.

Also given this is a procedure under general anesthesia, good luck with that bouncing and squeaking

I think it might depend what they're fashioning the faux vagina from. It they're using the colon, then the bowel prep does seem to be done over several days. They want the colon totally empty to lessen the risk of infection from colon contents spilling into the peritoneal cavity.

Granted but that would be done under hospital conditions.
What Phils suggesting is he's going to be given 4 days worth of a diuretic cocktail or simply not eating. In either case he would be in a fucking state before his op. This sort of thing is done under a general admission so the patient can be monitored.
It would be interesting to know if they are going with colonic graft rather penile inversion, I'd actually say this is more likely since Phil has shown us the lack of material they will have to work with.

IN ANY CASE the graft is cleaned before it's obviously not reassigned "as is" so a 4 day purge is overkill.

Just out of interest here's the criteria list for compatibility with this surgery type

1. Patients’ age must be less than 45 years old. (Check)
2. Patients’ weight must be less than 80 kg. (?)
3. Patient’s BMI must be less than 28 (?)


EDIT - hey @Ravenor do you think Phil will address the effects of his cancer drugs on said surgery or has he forgotten his old notes already

Double edit - just reading up on the aftermath of this type of surgery on a bunch of trans resources to predict Phils upcoming lies.
Oh the horror

*higher risk of infection
*bad smell for first few months
*unsightly stomach bulges
*there will be scars
*the common factor in most stories is this surgery was only attempted after a first failed SRS or the subject having a micro penis

I don't know what "Game Over" is supposed to mean in Spudder's narrative, but him actually getting mangled I feel like would just be the start of a whole new level.

In that scenario, I'm going to enjoy watching him slowly realize that having mangled naughty bits hasn't solved a damn problem in his life and he's still the useless, cheap tattooed, unemployable meat potato he's always been.

Suicide rates for post op trannys are generally just as high as pre-ops for a reason, ya know.

That's a complex issue.
Phil claimed he ditched his mom because she couldn't accept his transness after claiming she totally had.
Phil claimed he hadn't seen his mom IRL since he walked out but tweaker admitted that he and Phil visited the family home.
The last confirmed update was that Phils mom had borrowed him some money and Phil cut off contact once she asked for the return of the loan as agreed.
There's claims Phil doesn't actually know where his mother lives these days (she bounces around a lot to avoid chronic debt) and even that she remarried without telling Phil (likely this is a misunderstanding as she has various bad debts all under different names).

Maybe Dusty finally tracked her down to be "the son she deserved, nobody knows
