My house runs on shitty Source engine ragdoll physics and has done so for around since corona hit. So much shit in here and ONLY in here if I slightly nudge it with like the smallest amount of force starts bouncing and breaking and falling and making horrible clattering noises. I don't LITERALLY believe this is some reality altering event but it's a weird fucking thing that only happens in here. Everywhere else in the world shit operates like I'd expect it to and doesn't explode if I so much as lightly try adjusting it.

- A mourning dove at your window is a warning of death.

I was in a really fucked situation some years ago involving a stalker. One day in particular was extremely bad and I looked up from my phone to see a mourning dove was just chilling in the window. It stayed for nearly an hour and made me feel better. I felt like it was aware of how scared I was, like it was going "There, there. Now, this is what you need to do". Something clicked in my brain and I made a different kind of decision that day. It quite literally saved my life I think.

- Bad things come in 3s.

Something we were taught as kids and just seems to be generally true.

- Faustian bargain is a real thing.

This is this new activity post Covid? Did you lose anyone during the pandemic or from Covid in general? Do you live on a fault line, ley line, have poltergeist much? How long have you lived there? How old is your place of residence? Have you ever been diagnosed with anxiety? I have it and sometimes my brain is calm, but my hands shake.
Seriously, I don't believe 99% of paranormal stuff. Despite that and my inclination towards a scientific mind; that 1 % loves the idea of cryptids, fairies, pixies, ghosts and whatever. Maybe, I read too many fairy tales and was told too many superstitions as a child. Maybe, I watched too many X-Files as a kid. I want to believe...but...don't. It kind of makes me angry.

Yeah gman half life flew over my house.

Impaired motor function caused by hypoxia of the nerve centers in the cerebral cortex and the brain stem due to spike protein-induced blood stasis.

I know for a fact ghosts are real, I saw one once in my backyard as a kid. I was about 10, me and my friend were just sitting in the grass and talking when the vague outline of a person, huge maybe 7 foot tall, faded in, walked past, and disappeared. It was that kind of greenish yellow color you see when you look at a light bulb and look away. Both of us stopped mid-conversation and stared at it, then when it passed I asked if she saw it and she said yes but she was scared and wanted to go inside, she wouldnt talk about it at ALL. Years later in my early 20s I reached out to her on Facebook and asked if she remembered seeing something in my backyard, I made sure not to describe it at all, she said yes and described it perfectly.

Women are more likely to have weird spiritual shit happen to them

like what?

I noticed this too. Poltergeist activity is also most common when there's a girl going through puberty in the house. Women's intuition just also seems to be a lot stronger in general, I think they're more tapped into sensing information.

As a little kid I used to get really horrible, vivid, nightmares. My mom (or grandma?) bought me a dreamcatcher to hang over my bed and explained that the good dreams slip through, but the bad ones get stuck. I've had it in my room for 25 years.

Last week I did a major room renovation and set it aside in a box when I cleaned out my room, and for several days I slept in the living room while the paint dried in my bedroom. Absolutly terrible night of sleep every night for four days. I had a dream I was at Jack Scalfani's house for dinner.
Bought a sage bundle today and I'm putting that fucking dreamcatcher back up tonight. No dreams about eating a lolcow's cooking for me, thanks.
God same here. When I was a little kid I had a lot of weird beliefs about nightmares. But I also had awful nightmares literally every single night and the only thing that stopped it was a dreamcatcher. I was also afraid to talk about my nightmares because I felt like the entities in them would come back to "get" me or hurt me in some way. Have no idea why. I don't get nightmares as much anymore and the few I do I have gotten since I was a young teenager so I'm more confident in them and know how to break out. Everyone in the nightmare just stops and stares and I wake up shortly after.

I realized the other day that practitioners of Palo Mayombe really are able to give themselves the power to inspire fear; no "magic" necessary.
They surround themselves with rot and decay, so of course that smell is going to get on them and affect people on a subconscious level. You could be in an elevator with one and feeling uncomfortable and you wouldn't know why because the smell would be too subtle to pick up on consciously.

  • a big, bright moon is a sign of good luck or blessings coming your way.
  • never, ever, EVER. EVER. put new shoes on a table - in the box or out the box.
  • when you move into a new house, throw salt into the corners of each room. you can vacuum it after, but it has to stay there for at least 24 hours.
  • what you say carries intention and meaning - what you ask for, or even repeatedly joke about, will happen to you - so be tender and careful with your words. you will be judged on the words you say to others and say to yourself.
  • dreams can sometimes be trying to tell you something. i get a lot of deja vu from my dreams in my real life months down the line.

a lot of these came from my nana who was a very superstitious and god fearing woman, or otherwise are regional to my area :)

Should the thread be expanded to include signs & omens? Because I sinned last night and awoke to this, this morning:

I have swept, and vacuumed, and crawled on my hands and knees with my nose to the ground looking for miniscule shards more times than I can count, and I am still stepping on pieces of glass from this incident, usually after having some very un-Christian thoughts. It's a very sharp reminder that He knows the hearts of men, to be sure.
Well, I was planning on doing some more pretty serious sinning yesterday, popped downstairs for something, and there she was again, leapt from the wall (thankfully without spreading glass everywhere for me to step on this time)

My strangest and perhaps weirdest belief:

I believe that something god like exists and it made the universe but something went wrong during creation. I come from a christian household but at some point I realized that so many things in the bible don't make sense. And there are days where I'm just angry about what I was taught vs. what I see and the self righteous religious scholars who say shit like "god is almighty, god has a plan for us!" 🙄 So it was god's plan for Chris Watt's family or John Wayne Gacy's victims to be murdered? Are you fucking insane? And why didn't god save them but on the other hand saved others from similar situations?

I think the universe was created with good intentions and I also believe that whatever is responsible is good and loves us but is often too weak to help. It's well meaning but not almighty. That's my explanation for why there is so much horrible shit going on in the past, present and future and why some people and even animals are fortunate and others are not.

And the reason why I think the problem began with the creation of the universe is because of how much energy there is. My theory is that whoever or whatever made us sacrificed most of its energy for us to exist and now it's weak. It's like a mother who wanted children but the birth was too exhausting and now she has trouble taking care of us.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
- Douglas Adams -

No, I don't take drugs and of course I have nothing to prove anything I wrote. I's just my personal explanation and I don't expect anyone else to belive it.

TL;DR A friendly god like man/woman/being exists but used most of their energy to make the universe and now they are weak and that's why there is so much horrible shit.

I'm not sure if this is supernatural, preternatural, or just "natural and we don't understand it yet", but I'm CERTAIN spiders are more intelligent than they "should be" for their size.
You spend enough time around them watching them work and seeing how they interact with the world and it becomes pretty intriguing to see what they can do. Now whether than intelligence is in any way like that of animals is a tangential matter, but I'm sure of the first part.

Yeah, I can see that being real. After all, there was that news article a year or so back that said that spiders may be capable of having dreams or things pretty close to them. (I'm too lazy busy to find it right now, forgive me.)

There are spiders who are able to build decoy spiders. That means at least one species is probably self aware.

One time I was sitting at an outdoor table and I noticed something moving in the corner of my vision, it was a little jumping spider and I swear it was waving at me. When I turned to look at it, it stopped waving, looked right in my eyes with its big eyes, then sneaky-sneaked up on a fly, looked back to look at me, turned back, caught the fly, then back to me one last time before it carried it off.
Even if it wasn't saying "Hey check this out" it was aware I was a big living thing and that I could be influenced by its own behavior.

Every other pagan/occult/spiritist/whatever person I've read the statements of or interacted with has said ouija boards are bad news. I also knew someone who said she tried to get rid of her board by burning it and showed up in her car. I've never seen any other paranormal ritual with that many rules for staying safe except for ye olde grimoires. The Exorcist movie is apparently based on a real case of someone being possessed by the ouija demon Zozo (aka Pazuzu). FYI, one of those rules is that atheists and the like should never use them. Another one is you should never burn it because it will come back.

I went to one of the Universal Studios a few weeks ago (which was much better than Disney World), and the Lost Continent part of the park had those anti-evil eye amulets being sold all over the place. They looked kind of cool, ngl.

I absolutely believe demons exist, are extremely common and active, and account for the overwhelming majority of reported supernatural phenomena, such as Grey aliens, skinwalkers, and poltergeists. I think it's pretty telling that the vast majority of times people encounter something supernatural or paranormal it's a  negative experience. I get the sense most of them are really bad at pretending to not be evil. I believe most of the lore about them is made up by demons themselves to make it easier to lie to and prey on humans, especially the occult lore for working with demons which is 100% bullshit. Demon summoning symbols have no power and draws their attention like blood attracts sharks.

I also believe Lilith, the murderer of innocence, is one of the most successful and powerful demons in the world. She was never human; the myth of her being the first woman and a victim was made up by herself as propaganda.

Its the egyptian god Bes, is supposed to be the most ancient ward ever and this person swore any figure or drawing of this guy anywhere in your home btfos evil spirits like one of those automated israeli machine guns.

Is not the first time i've heard about something similar, in other cultures theres also demon charms that are used not to attract but to ward of evil eye or other demons, i kinda like that twist.

I have a jpeg of Bes in my desktop btw, just in case.
