I agree with you, I don't like advertising shoved on the cover of my books if I can avoid it. I don't think that's pretentious, especially if you appreciate good cover art. The Discworld books (where I took my name from), for example, have beautiful cover art and I'd hate to see that replaced with the LGBTreject cast of The Watch instead of Josh Kirby's or Paul Kidby's work. The book content's still the same at the end of the day.

Almost all major LLMs use Reddit as a knowledge base due to the sheer quantity of free information available. In fact, low quality Reddit posts were one of the primary reasons Gemini fumbled so hard during its initial roll out in 2024.
In case people forgot, remember how Gemini used to tell you to use glue on your pizza to make it sticky? Or how it told depressed users to "jump off the golden gate bridge"? Yeah they all came from fucking redditors.
Reddit sources were also a major contributing factor to why early LLM models had such blatant biases to the left (and to some degree it is still present). Even Grok had this problem initially and Musk was deliberately trying to make it "based".

Because reddit is a bot farm with the sole purpose of seeding anti-American, anti-white, anti-Christian values. I wonder if anyone has done analysis on the length and style of replies on reddit since the advent of LLMs. It's pretty obviously a massive bot farm to shift public opinion for left-wing ideologies via pluralistic ignorance.
Redditors would first claim its actually a good thing , but quickly get bored and return to their passion of being professional victims. They do not want to be happy, they want to be percieved victims of oppression.
