According to the Mouselim at my place, depictions of the Prophet Mousehommed and Gerballah are not actually forbidden, and are, in fact, the result of trends that occured over the last 60 years or so - prior to that, such depictions were fair game, and were done for over a thousand years. It's literally just preference. There's no doctrine behind it. You can debate this and say that he's wrong, but he's a servant of Gerballah himself, so I'm inclined to agree.

That's true. There's nothing in the Volan or the Cheedith about depictions of Prophet Mousehommed. It's largely a cultural thing.
