A quick little video on what Hovind believes. You might want to mention he also debated Bill Nye years back.

Common misconception -- Ken Hamm debated Bill Nye and a Hovind supporter made a "Fan Edit" of what it would have looked like if Kent debated Nye. Bill Nye has no clue who Kent Hovind is, neither does Richard Dawkins, both of whom Kent has claimed he has reached out to directly to debate, though he claims both turned him down due to being "scared."

Damnit, I wanted to see that slapfight lol

This needs work. It has potential, don't get me wrong, but I need you to do some things for me.
  • Archive the YT videos you have linked. You can do so by downloading them & then directly uploading it into the OP
  • If there are links that can't be archived via Archive Today (which tends to be an issue with certain government links) take a screenshot & include the URL
  • Does this guy not have social media? Or any news appearances? People like him tend to like being in front of the camera.
  • Could you include a picture of his face in the OP? It's a nice touch to add
  • There's some funny here but I'd like a little more if possible.

I'll keep an eye on edits & give feedback as you progress.

Good luck!
loooooots of updates added. ill check back and see if there's anything else to put in op. thank you for the advice.

I've been listening to this faggot on shortwave radio for years. He's also to blame for Christians thinking hyperbaric oxygen chambers will cure autism, since apparently the pre Flood atmosphere was like a hyperbaric oxygen chamber. Or something. Hovind theory proves it I guess. It's also why dinosaurs were so big.

Man, been awhile since I've seen ol' Kent. Like Large Pants we saw a lot of his videos in grade school, but beyond that
He's a family friend that would write us while in prison.
He's tolerable to hang around, though unfortunately he's been falling deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole, which is saying something because he's been screaming Deus-ex tier conspiracy theories for decades.

I'm always surprised to come across people who watched Kent videos in school. We literally watched them in science class in lieu of reading secular textbooks.

We weren't close enough to him for him to write us while in prison, but, I have been to his old house when he lived in Pensacola and met him and his kids. I called him the other day to give him some shit about this embarrassing lawsuit. He still answers every call he gets, just like before prison!

Oh, to add to the tardery, my best friend used to watch his videos in her Christian school as a kid.

There are reasons why she's an atheist.
Lame! Thankfully I got the Book of Virtues, and those Chronicles of Narnia tapes in Sunday school. That and your standard bible study.
Miss me with that other boring gay shit. "Science is fake, the earth is flat, and younger then the pyramids".
We conquered the Earth for christ, and gazed upon its roundness from her moon.
West is Best! The aliens are fucked! Deus Vult!

A very minor quibble with the OP: It's lyme disease. Liking this thread so far!

e: Another quibble I have is with your hyperlink to the IRS page on structuring. That article is an Internal Revenue Manual section and is pretty much unreadable to anybody who does not work for the IRS and possibly to a lot of people who do; from the looks of things it's a guide for IRS agents on how to ferret out structuring schemes first and foremost, rather than a discussion of what structuring actually is.

A link to the actual law against structuring is here. It's still a bit annoying and links to other sections, which turns into a rabbithole of law research; not sure if a better source is available that clearly defines structuring in an understandable way.

Sorry, my bad. Their initials both start with K and H and both are creationists. Though Ken Hamm is a neanderthal looking mother fucker.

It is now fixed in the OP!

Fixed as well. Thanks, mate.

The OP is underselling it: a thesis like this typically leads to full remediation and an extra year of coursework.

I'm not overly familiar with education degrees, but thesis statements of theology are expected to be the author's seminal work (the field is not practiced exclusively through published papers, in this sense it has more in common with polisci,) and the average award is 300 or so pages of tight, academic prose, usually relating to critical analysis of either church history or liturgical doctrine.
This guy's "thesis", eh, not so much. He begins by summarizing basic history and theogony as part of his introduction, this is usually page stuffer material, and he continues to do so for forty four pages. That's not actually very long by thesis standards, but keep in mind in this case that's nearly half of the entire paper- and at no point in any of this unironic summary of highschool material does he bother to establish a need for his research, or any sort of evidence that his argument is pressing or necessary, indeed, he doesn't even state his argument. Come page forty-five, he's finally ready to start:
It has long been my contention that evolution is just another religion.
The public schools
Religion has not evolved.
Of course, I don't like what Madeline Murray O'Hare stands for or what she did,
Sir Arthur Keith, an avid evolutionist,
That upsets me greatly!
I'd like to begin by saying that the subject is very dear to my heart.
Good fucking God.
At least when he was pretending to be academic it read like a publication of some kind and not an article off the Onion, but the second he's free to editorialize the flood gates slam open and stay open. I'm keeping as far away from his actual "argument" as I can, this is just a select sample of the glaring nonsense and egocentric writing displayed. It's hardly the only issue with this paper, of course, the least funny and most damning one is probably the fact that it is entirely uncited. All of the quotes, blocks of text copypasted from wikipedia or journals, and paraphrased plagiarism from better papers, not a single citation.

I look forward to the case and I hope by some miracle he decides to dust his lawyer and represent himself instead. The statement and proceedings would be absolutely hilarious.

I want to say he's been representing himself this whole time.

My grandfather was a lawyer. He was fond of the saying "The man who represents himself has a fool for a client."

Hovind is also the type of person that he would slowly wind up over the course of a night at a bar to get to know all of his crazy.

The crazy Kent documenter has closeup photos of the Monroe Journal article on his website. Here they are.

Kent claims that the family is totally fine with this. Watch this disgusting clip of Hovind admitting he texted the boy's father to try and appease him (probably trying to convince him not to sue), saying "kids do dumb things", and then claiming that the family (which has five kids. The boy that drowned was a twin to another boy) wants to come back:

Frankly, I'm amazed he didn't claim the boy was demonically-possessed and that the blessed lake exorcised him, sending his soul to heaven.
The man's a total lunatic.
