Lockhart should be an Indian. I can't think of a group that thinks so high of themselves as much as they do, which makes an Indian actor a perfect Lockhart
A wizard who is crafty enough to steal and take credit for what other wizards do? You bet. He shouldn't be from Ravenclaw, tho.
This is why making this reboot is a mistake. People still remember the former cast, including those who died, and comparisons will always be present. And I doubt most of the marketing will get rid of the merch featuring the old cast, which is also unfair for the new cast. I insist that this should have been an animated series and cast the same actors reading now the audiobooks.
If only one could combine the former cast + make it a TV series. It's impossible, I know, but it would be the best result possible. Only choice is an animated series.

Lockhart should be an Indian.
Sanjeev Bhaskar is my unironic pick. He's already an established British-Indian actor.

i like the stephen fry series of audiobooks but the full cast one is basically a well produced radio play. it makes it hard to watch the movies again because of how truncated the movies have to be.
Harry Potter and the Snow Bunny.
they need to make her a light skinned indian.

Casting had the easiest job. "We need a Hagrid-type from the movies, both looks and peformance." Repeat ad nauseum. No one expects an Alan Rickman clone, but they should at least try to look the part and performance since it's expected. I'm convinced some woman wanted to do 'our take' on it and this is the shit we get when they had an easy layup.

More HBO book "accuracy". This is Mr. Dursley.

The retards making this series seem to think being "book accurate" means the opposite.
  • Black Snape instead of pale Snape
  • slightly overweight Mr. Dursley instead of fat Mr. Dursley
  • indian & italian siblings instead of indian twins
  • indian infestation in Hogwarts instead of Hogwarts population of Britain in the 90s
  • magic is natural instead of magic is supernatural
  • dark, ugly colors instead of bright colors
It's only a matter of time till the Indians come for other big franchises like Star Wars and Marvel.

Tbh if they aren’t going for a white Lockhart (still holding out for Antony Starr) they should pick a South Asian Gen Z actor like Zain Iqbal.

It’d at least make sense since Bollywood started going international in the 90s and Lockhart’s supposed to be 27.
Where the fuck is the money going? How are they still spending billions on these series when theyve cut down labor so much with outsourcing and computers and AI and India?
Unlikely to be India. Lots of animated projects have been outsourced to South Korea a trend that’s been going since the early 2000s. I hope someone with an accounting or film background can chime in.

The only thing that doesn't fit for Gildasaar LockJeet is the scene of all the Witches going starry eyes over how dreamy he is.

What are the chances they pick an old white guy for Lockhart..and make him act like DRUMPH!
That's gonna be Fudge, likely. Remember he didn't want to believe Voldemort had returned because he didn't want to lose power.

Rowling actually wrote about how the government would openly lie to people to protect themselves, and all of their readers think this would never be either Biden or Obama.

Oh, I'm sure there will be more. Barty Crouch Sr, for example.

And, of course, Voldemort himself.

I hope they make enough changes on the character and his positions that ends up as absurd as Grindelwald, who said he wanted to stop WW2 and he was somehow the villain, lmao.

it works for the unintentional stereotype thing the potter casting has going for it. jeets think they're super romeos.
To be fair, however roach-like turks are, they're generally better groomed than western whities. I'd say the same applies for indians, but that's only the top 1% which is kind of useless to talk about when there's a top 1% for all races.

Hmm, yes, Lockhart... Again, how many races have blonde hair and blue eyes?Wyświetl załącznik 8901081
I wonder if they'll reference the batshit Millicent plotline from one of the old Harry Potter games? (I think it was the PS2/Gamecube Prisoner of Askaban game???) She had a bigger role in a game (if I remember she was Hermione's potions lab partner). Millicent revealed she's a half blood, and hilariously implied her mom was a poor Soviet bloc mail-order bride who just assumed Millicent's father being a wizard/the wizarding world was a normal cultural difference. She was written as a stereotypical tough Russian/referenced old Russian proverbs, and talked about going hunting with her mom and being taught to skin animals. She even had a side quest where if you find her lost marbles (she was obsessed with playing marbles - is that a Russian thing?), she gifts you a healing potion.

Damn, his brings back memories! That would be quote a thing. I remember when the first 3 games liked incorporating ideas from the books, or coming up with its own things.
...unlike the later fucking games, eugh...
