Bidyke seems to think that the "Everyone is bi" trope makes bisexuals loose their special snowflakeness. "Distinct identity" my ass. The fact that you want to bang both genders doesn't make you special.

In the new study, a team of psychologists directly measured genital arousal patterns in response to images of men and women. The psychologists found that men who identified themselves as bisexual were in fact exclusively aroused by either one sex or the other, usually by other men. The study is the largest of several small reports suggesting that the estimated 1.7 percent of men who identify themselves as bisexual show physical attraction patterns that differ substantially from professed desires.

Basically, while men reported being bisexual, their actual physical arousal (their true disposition towards one or another) was towards one sex. Here is a link to the study

The researchers, probably pressured by political correctness, replicated the prior study, however this time they recruited from places where they would be more likely to find bisexual men. Basically, they went to places where they would find sexual deviants and people with different paraphilia.

In order to satisfy SJWs they had to go to places of sexual deviancy, so their findings in 2011 should be rejected because they did not control for general sexual addiction or other elements that would prove the person to be a general deviant. Below is a link to the 2011 study.

So, back when the last episode of Korra aired and Korra and Asami (both girls) ended up together rather than Korra and Mako (a guy) some chick on tumblr wrote this analysis about how her ship was better, and because it was tumblr that automatically meant she had to prove it was "queerer".

Bisexuals are generally teens who think they might be gay so they say they're bisexual so if they aren't or grow out of a phase they can go back on their claim and not go with the same sex and if you are gay you can just go with da homos and stick with the bi label

Tumblr is mostly compromised of women in their teens and early adulthood.

In real life, the number of lesbians and bisexual women are mostly even. On tumblr? Apparently bisexual women vastly outnumber the lesbians. Which really does not make any sense.

Funny thing, according to studies, straight women can get off at lesbian material. Their brains and genitalia have an arousal response to lesbian porn, just as they would with straight porn.

There is a difference between sexual attraction and finding porn arousing. Many men find porn of tentacles or women with huge cocks fappable, but most would never romance or touch that. It's merely a fantasy.
Tumblrinas usually cannot date, so they probably mistake fapping at different kinds of porn as evidence of them being not straight.

Teenagers get more easily confused by their sexualities because they are growing up and figuring themselves out. Put anti-straight campaigns in the teenagers' minds, it's more likely they'll believe or pretend to be bi just to not be "the bad guy" which in tumblr, it's the straight people.
If overexposure can make lesbians think they are straight or bi during their teens, then the same could happen to a tumblr straight kid. Seeing so much yuri and lesbian cartoon shit in a website that says anyone can be gay, could cause confusion. Specially if said kid really enjoys the characters and stumbles with sexy erotic fanart of them a lot. Confusing admiration and arousal at the porn as having a crush.

Tumblr has a Steven Universe phase and a misandrist phase. Where the way to progression is reject the patriarchy boogie man.

The tumblr trend used to be yaoi, now it's yuri. Yuri is now considered by tumblrinas to be the superior most progressive shipping option because there's no icky oppressive men and gay/bi men are "SO MUCH MORE PRIVILEGED THAN QUEER WOMEN"
But it's just retarded shipping coated with politics. Try telling them to stop caring about politics in cartoons, they'll cry a river.

That's why there's so many more supposed bisexuals on tumblr. A percent of them are real, the majority is straight women who thought masturbating at lesbian porn too, meant they weren't heterosexual.
