💤 Inactive Andrew Dobson / Tom Preston / CattyN - STOP DOING SEXIST CRAP

Why it has to be some made up strawman who says that? Dobson is well known to be a keyboard activist, so the comic could be him walking by himself past the homeless while tweeting about social justice. He could make fun of himself that way. Instead Dobson cannot resist making the comic about "ugh, other men, amirite?"
hell you don't need hypothetical situations. remember that time dobson told a lesbian off because she had the nerve to disagree with him?
bam, there's your comic

"I ALREADY MADE A JOKE EXPLAINING HOW IT'S OKAY TO DO THIS!!!!! WHY IS THE WORLD STILL MAKING FUN OF PEOPLE FOR DOING IT?!?!?! I SAID NOT TO DO THAT HOW IS IT POSSIBLE PEOPLE ARE DOING THAAAAAT?!?!?!!?!"

Andrew seriously believes that once he voices his opinion on something, all other opinions should cease. It's at least a slight exaggeration with most people, but not Andrew, he's autisticly arrogant enough that he sincerely believes he's the final word on a subject.

I like how he's using "we" instead of "cartoonists and animators in general". It makes it look like he's worth more than he actually is.

Let's kill him IRL

I can understand when animation does it, because they are on a time and budget crunch to get episodes out (and even then, they do vary things up). But in the medium of Webcomics, unless you're doing daily strips, you have no excuses not to change expressions and designs.
True, it seems like too many webcomic authors are following Nicole Hollander's approach these days.

Here you go.

It's ironic since that basically how he thinks these days.
See, he makes a semi-decent point, even if it comes off as him arguing with a strawman, but the problem is he used the Aurora shooting as the framing for his point and that's what ultimately makes it seem insulting at face value. And since I'm assuming this came out shortly after the shooting, making a comic about how we shouldn't have to bring up bad things related to a subject so soon probably wasn't the best idea. Not to mention the comparisons are off; you can't equate a maniac murdering dozens of people in a theater to talking about the bad movies a good actor has starred in.

And since he now thinks like this anyway it makes the comic seem even more pointless and vaguely insulting.

But, see, people will allow you to do copy/paste shit if the writing is good enough. Shit, just look at Ryan North's Dinosaur Comics.
