Everyone on MSHPL who is driving was in a much larger vehicle, not a sub-compact car. If she was to buy an SUV, could she climb aboard?
She could fit in my F 250. Steering wheel retracts/extends electronically and so do the pedals. I'm 6'5" and it's very comfortable. I've seen some very large individuals getting in and out of them. Hell, she could even fit in the back seat. The cab is huge. She would however have to step up onto the running boards to hoist herself in and that right there would be as huge a problem as Lardass herself, since she can't even manage a curb.

amber is hella short and probably wouldn't be able to lift her legs up anything higher than a small SUV

She could probably fit in a Ford F-250 but could she climb into it, or more important could she get out of the pick-up truck without falling flat on her face? All those large pick-up trucks and SUVs are very high and many women complain about finding it difficult to get in and out. I do not think that she could climb in without help.

Another problem for her is: can she afford a new vehicle? A relatively new used large SUV is likely to cost her at least $20k and I do not think that she can afford that.

Small SUVs are compact cars with a tailgate. About the only difference, really. Painful for me to drive the wife's Ford Escape any distance other than a short run to the store and back. Hamber wouldn't fare any better in one of those than the Hyundai. A van might be her best option, but as a passenger because a lot of them let you remove seats and such. She'd still need a Driving Miss Dainty.

In regards to money, I doubt it. She's not been making what she was but Vlognas is around the curve in the road and while she never finishes them Amber does tend to get a decent holiday bump in paypigs.

The cost of vehicles is actually a lot bigger in the States since COVID and, Amber is terrible at spending on things she actually needs so I find it unlikely she will procure another vehicle.

Absolutely agree. It would be for Wipey, not her. She doesn't go anywhere, doesn't do anything and has 1 800 BRINGITTOME on speed dial on her phone.

Driving for Hamber is about as realistic as flying to Bora Bora tomorrow.

I've stated in the past in previous threads that the best vehicle for Amber to drive itself would have to be a 2014 to current Ford Transit connect miniature van. It's not a minivan it's a small van. The ride height is slightly above normal car level but it rides on the old Ford focus platform so the step in if you kind of step down a little bit to get into it but you sit up a little bit higher. She could configure the seat to go back far enough to get in. Anything like that; the Nissan n200 the Chevy city van the Dodge ram ProMaster City edition etc. She needs something with big front doors low overstep but higher visibility. Let us not forget that she's three feet taller when she sits down.

But wait... for Wipey teach her to drive she needs a... car.
They don't have any atm.
Doesn't matter how much money Hambo is making, the constant ER visits will suck all her savings and is probably money the reason she ignores new appointments and exams.
She's likely not paying her ER bills considering hospitals have sued her for non payment in the past. I believe that is why she goes to ER's and switches hospitals often. Her credit must be shit, and IIRC Amber relied on Becky's credit when needed.

Also, she likely wouldn't be approved for financing even on a used vehicle.

Even if she could fit with the seat right back and the steering wheel retracted fully - she is 5' 2" - her arms need to be able to reach the steering wheel and her feet the pedals

Could she drive a disability van? One company I know of (well, it's been more than 10 years, don't know if they are still in business), could take out
the driver's seat and put in hand controls, so someone in a wheelchair could enter on a side ramp and pull up to the steering wheel and use the hand
controls to drive. But she couldn't afford that either.

Yall are all mentioning manly boxy un cute vehicles. Our gorl is a dainty princess and wouldn't be caught dead in a van, truck, or anything that isnt a 'womans' vehicle like a modest car or something cute and expensive. It's gonna be a socially acceptable vehicle for women to drive or nothing at all. And yes her credit is most likely shit so she's either gotta go craigslist ad cash only or nothing. If wipey was willing to get in a car and be her new chauffeur we all know amber would empty her bank account and buy a car in an afternoon if it meant takeout when she wanted.

Amber ain’t driving shit
Add that her every year list of this is what I'm gonna do this year, like go back to college. Can any of you gorls honestly tell me how disappointing this must be on a personal level?

Make list, not one item checked off, year after year. Nobody that I know loses at life like Hamber, but thinks their livvvveeennnn best life evah.

Totally mental.

I have a deathfat relative your height who drives a quad cab Ram fine HOWEVER he is a normal figured huge person. Amberlynn from the waist down is grotesquely misshapen.

The answer may be to go smaller. This assumes eye protection can still fit around her moon face. A four seater John Deere Gator with the front bench removed has a 1000 lb weight capacity. Without even weight distribution the suspension would really work for its money but you won’t know until you try. Another possibility could be (don’t laugh) an Arctic Cat ATV with the banana style seat. That would require some sort of parking bay with overhead straps and stirrups. Might not be street legal but it’s Kentucky, who’s going to say something?

Quadriplegics drive with fewer accommodations. Less independent than someone with flippers for hands, what a life.

If she did drive, anything larger than a standard sedan is something she'd turn her nose up at - probably because she knows she wouldn't be able to step up into it. She'd need a foldout step or a lift rated for 700 pounds. Even if she managed to get in, she'd need seatbelt extenders (which she wouldn't wear in the car). Then she'd need a way to reach the wheel, so an adjustable steering wheel - but that would need to adjust so much, she'd be driving with the wheel practically in her face, since she's so short the seat would have to be at its max forward.

Big Al ain't driving in this lifetime.

Gorls, Amber doesn't even have sensation in her feet, you've seen those lily white, dainty hooves. Gorl wouldn't even know when her foot was on the pedal, or how much pressure she'd be using.
