As obnoxious as I'm sure Phil's being landlords generally tolerate people like him because they're considered stable tenants.

Stable tenants pay their rent and they pay it on time. Phil has been seen e-begging in excess while going out and buying dumb, frivolous shit and eating out all the damn time. Even if he's got government money coming his way to pay for stuff it won't change the fact he's wasting it on everything except what he needs to be paying for. Landlords don't need pariahs taking up space where actually tenants can pay.

Additionally, just because the spud has a steady source of income doesn't mean the landlord does. Unless it's a form of housing assistance that goes directly to the rent, someone on disability can still blow it on stupid bullshit (bike shit, legos, whatever) and end up coming up with excuses at the end of the month.

On a very base level Phil's obsession with bikes makes me feel a little bad for him. Simply because it reminds me of how autistic and overall really poorly prepared for life he is. This man been talking about riding a bike for how long now and still hasn't accomplished that goal to my knowledge?
