This is a prime example of why, even with these rules, poly never works.

She proposes poly and gets an agreement from him.

She develops a secondary relationship on the side, by her own account, develops feelings.

He develops a secondary relationship on the side, and as soon as THAT relationship develops feelings, she goes and calls everything off and demands everything be shut down.

They want the right to do shit they would NEVER be okay with their partner doing, but want to simultaneously reserve the right to shut it down if their partner starts doing the same thing.

I'm sure a proper definition isn't enough for you, so let's just get to the undisputed fact that poly marriages are forbidden in the US, in 90% countries of Europe, in Russia, in China, in Australia and so on. Even fucking Canada forbid it. So, going by the vast majority of countries in the developped world, what you call poly marriage doesn't even exist and is certainly not recognized by laws. Maybe you can try your luck in some third world countries where people eat mud and ants.

What you call "poly-marriage" is just a married couple giving up the fundation of what makes a marriage. It's not a marriage anymore.

Everyone will eventually got bored of fucking the same person. That's not rocket-science. Eva Longoria, Halle Berry, Sienna Miller are all attractive women we'll never touch, and yet, they got cheated on by their ex-husbands. Just imagine what your average joe think internally about his average wife. That's where love come in effect in a marriage and why we're not baboons. If you love the other person, you go past your animal instinct and share a mutual bond. If it doesn't work anymore, it's fine, just divorce on good term and start a new life. Your poly decadent stuff though ? Keep that for animals.

Holy shit the autism lmao. Whipping out those definitions. Are we in middle school again?

People get married for various reasons, legal benefits being one of them. I don't understand why my friend should divorce her husband if they are happy with their situation. Their life isn't affecting you so why do you care? If it ends up not working out, whatever, but they have been together for 14 years which is much longer than most of the people I know that got married and kept things mono.

I don't even really fucking care about this anyway as poly isnt for me, but my point was that I think can work out in some rare circumstances. Those circumstances were not Jared and Heidi as I feel like going poly to save a marriage is a dumb fuck move and will never work, but if you have two people who are okay with the idea of not being tied down from the start, who see their partner as someone they can spend their life and share that lifestyle with, I don't see the problem??? Some people just like to fuck.
 
"Poly" is usually a relationship where the female has the higher sexual value and wants to sleep around, and she feels comfortable in giving her beta dorky husband the similar freedom because she knows he can't sleep around if he wants to. There are various configurations of poly and that makes people believe that they just have to use the right one for them, but they're each just bandaids. Bandaids with razors hidden inside them that cuts the people engaged in it more than it helps them. No, I'm totally not speaking from experience, nor have I been close to some of the most well-known poly people in the world and seen their dysfunctional relationships up close. I would never power level like that.

But they'll stand on their soapbox and pretend everything is great (and they try to do so in a relateable, oh not everything is perfect kinda way), because it's almost a religious mission to them and they're happy with every single person convinced. And it goes on like that for a while, until another one kills themselves over the depression and powerlessness the situations creates for them.

Feelings aren't a choice and it's inevitable that if you fuck people you develop feelings for some. That's what polyamory means; romantic (consummated) love for multiple people.

So already you're describing an "open marriage" rather than polyamory if feelings are forbidden.

I do care because I understand what a marriage means, how it helped us, as a specy, to grow powerful societies that lasted for centuries and I simply value the idea of creating a physical bound between two humans. A physical bound nature built us for. Do you have two dicks ? Two pussies ? Can you procreate with two people at the same time ? No.

I don't know your friends personally, I bet they don't even exist and you're just promoting your decadant lifestyle, but if they do exist, I can imagine what a clusterfuck they life is and if it's - surprisingly - not, they're more the exception than the norm. Like I said earlier, name me one powerful and developped society that wasn't built around the marriage of one woman and one man. If your poly-decadant lifestyle is normal and healthy, why was no powerful society built around it ? Societies have rules and so far, the most powerful and developed ones forbid poly-marriage.

So far, polyamour is something rampant in autistic communities and it's always about the same persons, let's not lie. Heidi and Jared are a good exemples. I've yet to see a successful, healthy and inspiring couple living that decadant lifestyle. It's always about your pink-haired, non-binary legbeard, covered with tattoos and a ring in their noses. I disagree. From everything we know Heidi is the one who wanted the open relationship, but then freaked out when Jared decided he wanted to fuck the ugly bird woman.
If you don't see anything abusive in those texts, wew. If those are legit, Heidi's a complete psycho.

But that's what makes this situation fun. We've got a hysterical, psychotic thot; a cheating (as in, she cheated on her husband) bird-bitch; and a cowardly youtuber who may or may not have exchanged nudes with literal children. It's a complete clusterfuck. They're all retards.
