I'm shocked that nobody has pointed out that, within that stream Jace said the following things:
- He doesn't think the Holy Roman Empire ever existed
- He thinks The Elder Scrolls was based on actual historical events that took place in the 15th century
- He literally has imaginary friends and talks to himself and refers to his fictional characters as his friends
He's getting way,
way more delusional. The conspiracy stuff was just the icing on the cake
I think all those have somewhat grounded bases though. For the first one, we have to remember that Jace is still an idiot who had shitty religious home-schooling for most of his education. He's also the type who has so much pride that he thinks he's an expert in everything (70% of the economy would be helped by legalising prostitution, for example), and isn't willing to admit he doesn't know something. Therefore, it seems more likely that he'd see something like 'Holy Roman Empire', or 'Breton', or 'Nassau' and, because he's never heard of them, think they are a massive rip-off of other game series, or that they didn't exist in real life. Jace is an intellectual, and if they existed, he'd know about, it, right? He's got to give some answer because, in his mind, if he didn't, the façade would be revealed to the viewers. There are plenty of non-schizophrenic people I'd expect to say similar things.
For the second one, I think he just got a bit tongue tied. I don't think he was literally saying 'I think there was magic in the 15th century', more that the game has a lot of elements that are based on medieval stuff. Of course, because Jace is Jace, he didn't say it like that, probably because he was busy sperging over finding the submarine in Morrowind.
And the last one, it could be because he is a tulpa who speaks to Ramires and Jenkins in his head, but I think it was just him trying to justify not having friends in real life. Because of his pride, he doesn't want to admit he's a bit of a loser, even though inside he realises he is (he choked up a bit last stream when saying he didn't need real life friends because he has the internet). I think by saying he had imaginary friends in his head, he was saying, in his own exceptional individual way, that he doesn't need real life friends. He's further trying to justify not having a real life life, and that he can sustain himself just by going on the internet.
Of course there is a whole heap of autism and off-meds mentalness on top of this (like the groupstalking stuff), but I think everything he said can be explained, to an extent, more by character flaws of Jace than delusions.
