I have this Dick head college professor anytime I send him. Papers critical of Islam are generally disagreeing with him. Screams at me that this is not a theology class. He doesn't like the fact that I'm not glazing Islam, so I just started sending him shitty AI papers and he fucking loves them. This professor is really fucking. Annoying and wants you to literally write papers that. Sound like? The equivalent of watching paint dry.
I love how he says you didn't add. An artistic amount of detail. The only paper I got 100 on. Was literally me sitting there detailing. Every single battle of Alexander the Great.
To an extremely unnecessary degree. By the way, this is a introduction to medieval history class. But for some reason we're covering the ancient world to medieval Europe. Not the Renaissance, the Middle Ages. In the medieval ages.

I don't know in which context you mean, as you talk about "mainstream talk": do you mean social media, TV, and so on? When I was younger, all I would consume would be made by borderline Millennials or older Gen Z's; now, near ten years have passed. Maybe you just... don't remember it? On a slightly more serious note, everything that I consume now is being produced, still, by twenty-something year olds. Unsurprisingly, time does pass and people do age (sadge), so I am now consuming younger Gen Z content. I still find it odd because, in a sense, every stupid shit I see online is made by people my age. Gosh, I feel like that one "old man yells at clouds" Simpsons meme.

We should all get comfortable with dying soon, and with seeing loved ones die. WE ARE FUCKED.

I have noticed a massive uptick in misery porn content on jewtube recently. The whole genre of playing some 2000's game while saying "its so over guys" or "become a neet" shit has unfortunately really popped off.

We really should just all be out there cheering for each other. I had a long sobering talk with my tradie dad the other day and we walked past some masons. He first criticized their work, then went on to talk about his own career at the height of industry and it just made me realize, man. Those of us who have jobs, at all, should be happy. We won't have kids, a home or a debtfree car, so why even strive?

I always felt limitations were good. If I had grown up being told "pick a trade, tard", I would've done better than going to uni for no good reason and end up where I am today. Shit, I was going into husbandry type shit but once I realized I'd be working on farms I quit. Now? That sounds nice. Visual and measurable work of value.

So, as someone in gen z, I had this thought that what defines our generation, and what will result in significant changes down the line, is envy of others. It is 100% justified when looking at boomers, but it doesn’t really stop there. I’ve found some meager success as far as prospective job opportunities and internships, as well as have a decent amount saved up to pay for tuition. I would say at least three quarters of my younger peers make every effort to try and fuck me over and impose their own worldview on me. Like what places I should go, that I shouldn’t use resources and connections to advance my position,etc. I know this definetly makes me sound somewhat like an asshole, but it’s something I’ve really had to contend with recently.

Edit: the last part is because it seems to me gen z is the only group that criticizes age gap relationships even if both parties are of age and in the same generation category. No other generation has done that iirc

The amount of crabbucket bullshit I've had to deal with in my life is insane, but this is an every-generation thing. First off, it has taken every gen to a degree. Millennials were definitely the first ones hit by it, maybe even worse than Zoomies, as they still inhabit Twitter, FaceBook, and Insta while Zoomers are primarily just TikTok and Snapchat. Boomers and X got taken by FaceBook and are on it near constantly, even viewing it as people needing to be on FaceBook, Insta and LinkedIn otherwise you are totally shady and not hirable.

Zooms were pushed to be on social media by the changing dating landscape and the LinkedIn weirdos acting as social media is this thing everyone needs to be posting on constantly otherwise they are inhuman. A Zoomer not posting is a sign of something wrong with them and reflects negatively on dating and work prospects because people cannot access your history. Stupid, but a big part of the modern era.

From there, as you said, people are more disconnected and shallow. Presenting a fake version of yourself on social media brings social credit and a small sense of connection people are lacking. Literal nobodies are getting attention they would have never received years ago. Clout is big for building your brand, which is becoming an increasing need in our current decaying social and economic climate. I hate it, but the world at large has warped itself around social media, so not much can be done.
