This CR is a temporary stop gap to give Trump the room to complete the reconciliation bill so they can take their time with it to work out the kinks before final approval. Trump also wants this CR because it will keep his tax cuts in place. Massie had no problem bending over for Biden to raise the debt ceiling because their were cuts that were fairy dust that only happened if certain parameters were met, which most of them weren't and the cuts did not occur. In this CR there are cuts, but we need this CR to be able to get to the DOGE stuff.
