Alberta's total pop is approximately 5 mil as of Dec 2024 so a Yes vote would need at least 3.2 million votes to pass.

Edmonton's population is 1,589,000 and Calgary's population is 1,419,000 and each and every drone in Edmonton, most of who are employed in governmental jobs and the pajeets in Calgary will vote no. That's 3 million people right there 90% of which will vote No.
I don't think 90% is accurate, a lot of both cities are in manufacturing and trades, Edmonton has a large factory complex in the northeast for example. I think a lot of people have seen the effects of Trudeau's policies, and there is underlying frustration about their votes being meaningless in a national election. I don't know what percentage would vote No, but it won't be 90%. possibly closer to 40-60%, maybe 20% if they're more sane then i anticipated.

The United States literally produces nothing we have zero manufacturing. Two thirds of our economy is selling Metadata to advertisers and marketing debt to consumers.

That fact that we have a stock market in the red at all is nothing short of a miracle.

What do the hospitals in the states look like? Like my partner vomited blood this morning and the clinic he went to directed him to urgent care, but he waited 14 hours and would've had to wait at least three more hours on top of that. How long would he have to wait at an American hospital, and how much would it cost with the average insurance provider?
You'd never have to wait 14 hours in an ER here in the US unless you're smack dab in the middle of a mass casualty event. (Full disclosure, I only have experience with a big town / small city ER, not the bug hives)

2, 3, or even 4 hours when an ER is REALLY busy?? Maybe? But you'd have SOMEONE take a look at him and triage him. People more at risk of immediate death get moved to the front of the line.

Healthcare is fucking expensive in the US (or free if you're illegal), but I've never felt like showing up at the ER would be a whole day affair unless I was admitted into the hospital as a result of my visit.

The worst part about Massie is that he knows an actual budget won't get passed because Dems want the shutdown and they will be able to do that easily to an actual budget so we have to use reconciliation to get this passed.

There is no way in hell Trump gets 60 votes in the Senate without giving up trillions to USAID tier shit why the fuck would Massie even want that to be a possibility? The other bad part is that if you get into the reconciliation process we can easily cut USAID and that sort of shit out of the budget with the numbers we have now so why is Massie fighting against that?

Turns out Massie is already fundraising off of this stunt and this has been his entire brand for a decade now. People rushing to defend him have zero clue about the how and the why but "muh no AIPAC money" even when he sucked off DeSantis harder then anyone.

The reality is Canada has been built up on a house of cards so flimsy the slightest mention of equivalent tariffs made Trudeau immediately fold. What seems to be the case is that Canada was putting on a brave face for a very long time. In reality their entire country's
Actually Canada's doing fine, better than we've ever been. We're doing so well in fact that we're giving free healthcare to everyone. It's not only free but even mandatory and normally a ~$700 procedure, but we're doing so well it's being done for free, in fact I'm typing this while in one of the pods myself, suck it Americans.
I even get free maids to look after me apparently.

So yah...Alberta is fucked. Royally fucked in fact.

Even if every white Albertan voted to leave they'd only have about a two thirds of the votes needed. And the scales get worse every day as more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more pajeets flood in each month to the province looking for work.

I didn’t believe that book because it has full dialogue between the people in it but is portrayed as a memoir written decades after. Can’t be accurate at all
To be fair, a lot of memoirs do. Generally the author has to make a disclaimer saying its conversations based on how they remember them, but that they might not be entirely accurate but won’t misrepresent the person. Wiesel doesn’t do that. And the fact that he wrote sequels also didn’t help the case in my mind.
On the flipped side, I have always believed Anne Frank’s diary though. Mainly because she literally does the most Jewish thing ever and writes in the diary itself that she’s only writing it so she can sell it later. I don’t believe a fake account would be that transparent. Oddly that was required reading in 5th grade and not high school though, and we got the uncensored version no less.

Would a budget not beign passed be the perfect excuse to cut off even more wasteful funding? "sorry can't pay for the African tranny surgeries the judges ordered us to as we have no money"

You clearly know fuck all about Alberta, Calgary is a hardcore conservative city, with only one federal seat being held by the Liberal party for decades.
Look at the provincial and municipal levels. Half the city is represented by prog tards in the Legislative Assembly and there isn't one right leaning member on the city council.
How Calgary votes federally is not indicative of how it'll vote during any hypothetical plebiscite.

yeah I’m sure old Harris would’ve handled the situation much better right.

Look at the results of the plebiscite to remove Alberta from the Equalization fund.

Also, Calgary has a major voter turnout problem at the civic level, and civic elections do not require disclosure of party affiliation.

Alberta is nowhere near as left-leaning as you claim, and the more you argue it, the more you spew bullshit.
