I don't know who that is. What I'm saying now is that with all these people downloading VI, it's bound to cause server overload on PSN or Xbox Live. Plus, people would just want to play ASAP so this is a necessary caveat to address that.
I ended up deleting my reply to you, it must've showed up on your end still, but yes regardless even then people are still going to download that crap, despite this game not being physical...

Nowadays, you have to install games anyway so the negative on this is that you have no recourse to return or resell.

Plus you can use it to stunlock death.
CV1 has shit jumping and virtually non existent physics. The problem I face is with the death projectiles which are free moving and take massive chunks of health. Dealing with that and death just jumping around simultaneously is a pisstake, I can't do it. Stunlocking barely helps, jumping is broken and you just "spray and pray". It's the same problem with Frankenstein although there if you get in quick enough at the beginning, you can stunlock both the jumper and him which makes it much easier.

well at least i didnt drop 80 bucks on one of those disc drives you can put into the digital only ps5 anticipating a possible physical release of gta 6

...no seriously, i didnt. i should tho. gotta find a way to play those physical copies i bought years ago for the ps4 and thats one way to do it

My unpopular opinion: in the next few years the public will view gamers as weirdos again, in much the same way they did 2 or so decades ago.

Anything gaming-related gets infested with troons and furfags and pronouns bullshit insanely fast now and most people do not like when less than 0.01% of world population somehow finds its way into controlling 90% of all gaming subreddits/discords/twitter accounts and tries to groom their kids into sodomy.
now here's an unpopular opinion:

Since AI/trannies micromanaging text chat/voice chat and banning your account on the spot isn't going anywhere, I'd like to see the following happen when the pendulum finally does go back in the entertainment industries:

-If you bring up your genitalia or talk about gooning and you're not on an M-rated game or discord, your account gets shitcanned. Kids don't need to see that shit.

-If you talk about killing yourself or suicide, your account will lock down and you'll be forwarded to a suicide hotline. You must complete the humiliation ritual or your online account is locked forever. Everyone has problems and I don't want to hear about yours after a 8-12 hour shift of work. You need professional help, randoms can't help you.

-If you say shit "cunny, you look good for your age, lolicon hits different, etc," your account will lockdown and you must turn on a webcam, do the "sex offender shuffle", and submit it to your local government for review and you'll get your accounts back with chat/voice permabans.

Maybe I'm just too old and haven't gotten gud enough but I hate the walled stages that were introduced in every game past 4. Getting sandwiched between the wall and a 10 hitter just completely kills my interest in playing. Granted 5 is nowhere near as bad as 4 in this regard but there are some stages such as Dragons Nest and Acid Rain that suck to fight on. There are some other things I don't like about 5 such as the aesthetic and the OST. Compare it to Tekken 4 which has a very defined, colorful aesthetic, Tekken 5 just looks and sounded bland in comparison. Also I don't really have any way to prove this (mostly because I'm too lazy and don't care enough to do further research into the matter) but I swear the hitboxes in 5 are just all over the place, especially for King.
For walls, you either have sidestepping or throws. Some throws sideswitch normally, but some sideswitch on break. For example, the Mishima headbutt throw sideswitches on break, so either you land a hit and get some momentum or swap positions.

IDK for hitboxes. I know some moves always seem to have phantom range, Bob's D1 in T6 being a great example. I wouldn't doubt it, especially for base T5.
Also Jinpachi sucks ass to fight. That one frame stun attack he likes to spam is gay.
Then they went worse in T6. At least they are pretty unique fighting game bosses, but Azazel having super armor except during his moves is a stupid design. NANCY is pretty tough too, and it was impossible when I was younger and would never sidestep. Though fighting game bosses are normally some BS so it doesn't bother me now.

Tax: I like artsy/experimental games, I find that I remember them better. Same sorta thing for gimmick bosses.

The only reason anyone should buy those is if you need your PS5 to be a Bluray player tbqh

Something's been bugging me for a while so here it goes: Vidya "Analysis" is fucking gay. For almost two decades by this point Halospergs have been taking note of every single little thing from the games. The ammo count, the velocity of the player how certain elements had certain sandboxy characteristics. The same happened with the Soulsborne fags. They go into extensive detail of every little hair follicle on every single character's ass and end up with nothing in return but with a messy wiki article in video form. When good videogames are good because there's this esoteric quality to them than makes them worthwhile. That's why gaming today is fucking gay, the retards that grew up with this shit ass videos are now old enough to be in the industry. That's also why most indie games are just as shallow as the next AAA sponsored by doritos thing.
In my opinion, the best type of vidya analysis comes in the form of coding deep dives that explain why absurd anomalies of gaming came to be. That shit is far better than listening to some hipster explain why some 6/10 game is akshually a hidden masterpiece for 2.5 hours, and is educational to boot.

I've got a thought that I think I've said before but not here. And after seeing the Fable 4 shit I just want to say that Fable has always been goyslop. I would go as far to say that the Fable games are incredibly modern in all the wrong ways. Like I've been playing a little bit of Fable 1 and its got to be one of the most annoying games, it looks ugly it plays like a shitty version of Zelda, it sounds generic, there is just so much off putting shit. And in the later ones they feature creep but its like what is the point of these systems. In 2 you can buy property but what for? Its not like an Elder Scrolls game where you have a ton of quests and other shit to keep you going you just run out of shit in 2 and the world doesnt have that much to explore. And Fable 3 is just tiny all around, I dunno these games are like a nightmarish amateur rendition of the Zelda games at the time
Buying properties in Fable II, especially buying vendor stalls and shops, cuts down on the grind for gold, since you get passive income from them. Buying houses and renting them out does the same.

I think CS was astroturfed. I can't definitely prove it, but I feel this way.
CounterStrike was free in the beginning, Quake was not. It is that simple.

Halo was a lot like Diablo. Games designed to be one thing and then turned into something else by accident. Diablo was more of a straight forward modern (for the time) take on Rogue that was gonna be turn based. Someone had the idea that it being in real time would be more fun so the designer did that quickly to disprove it and then had a "Oh no this is actually fun" moment. For Halo it was just gonna be a futuristic take on Myth, but people just liked moving around one of the characters on a vehicle so they turned into a tps and then fps. In both cases the designers found out what was fun and then capitalized on it. For some reason this is exceedingly rare in video games
Halo's transformation into a mediocre but overhyped FPS was simply a deadline issue due to when MS bought Bungie. They didn't have time to properly port the game to Xbox for launch, which is also why you literally go through half the game's maps twice.

@Samuel Fuller

The change to TPS happened before it was unveiled by Steve Jobs, in that reveal it was already in a more action orientation. The FPS change came during the MS era iirc, but the primary change happened fairly early
The TPS was a hybrid RTS/TPS, the Jobs demo showed platoon-level command issuing, and the zoom-out to battalion level command was there too.

Everything but single-entity FPS gameplay was cut out to make the Xbox launch deadline.

I mean what you are saying isnt incorrect, what I was pointing out was that it started out as a Myth clone that was purely a tactical RTS. I haven't read or seen anything that ever disputed the early development, the story was that it starred out as a RTS, then it became a TPS and got announced by Jobs. Its been a fairly consistent story from the staff involved

The bigger point is that MS buying out Bungie and forcing Halo to be a launch title for Xbox caused a massive lobotomization of the game and led to it being content-starved.

There's one level with several layers of cut and paste. It's overall one of the best launch titles of all time. And then of course everyone had to prove they could do drivable vehicles better while completely missing what made the retardation of the warthog so fun.
