People who immediately write off someone liking an old thing because "It's just nostalgia" are genuinely braindead. They're the "but I did eat breakfast" people. They're perpetual consoomers who's entire personality is whatever is new, and they cannot fathom the idea that something old can be better than the current thing. Furthermore, even if I DO like something purely for nostalgia, that doesn't invalidate how I feel. I said I love X thing, my reason for loving X thing doesn't change the fact that I love it and I'm allowed to. I don't owe you a 27 page dissertation proving that it was technically better and you're not getting one. Half the time, these people sound like they're just bitter they weren't around for the hayday and now they have to convince themselves it was never good in the first place.
This is especially retarded when you look at where most things are today. I had someone try to tell me black ops 7 is better than black ops 1, and the only reason someone might think otherwise is nostalgia. Black Ops 7 can be played for free and it struggles to even come close to matching the playercount of MW3 from 2011 when there was less gamers overall. Sounds like it's totally solid and really resonating with players. The old game just had more players because... Uh... Don't worry about it.
