There's no such things as "shit tests".
When you have a healthy romantic bond with a girl, everything is pretty much smooth. You have disagreements, you challenge each other. But you will never find yourself questioning a girls' motive if she truly likes you. You will not be on edge, trying to diffuse a situation or having to have constant arguments about bullshit if you're in a proper relationship. You'll just find yourself having a good time with a girl you like who also likes you.

"Shit tests" are just a way of excusing shitty, mentally ill behavior that would not be tolerated if you had any sense of self respect. It's just indulgence and living in constant denial of narcissistic, cluster b behavior. It's an illness of the modern world. Your parents and grandparents would never have had an equivalent term to describe this phenomenon because it just didn't exist.

Do not indulge hoes. Respect yourself. You will have way less romantic prospects as a result, but at least they will actually exist.

I have the opposite opinion.

Voting should have as few restrictions as possible because the whole point of democracy is to have peoples interests represented. A person may not be smart, but they have interests and concerns that should be addressed.
Whether or not somebody even understands how the judiciary, upper/lower houses and executive works is kinda irrelevant to them voting against a war or against certain people going into women's spaces. They have to live in a world where all of these things happen so they should have a say.
A persons' intelligence also says little about their virtue, common sense or ability to understand the world.

Another issue with restricting voting is that you have to decide on who gets to vote. Having a test of any kind opens the system up to each party inserting their facts into the process. We already see this in the United States with felons not being able to vote. The drug war was partly waged to increase the number of felons so that less people of certain opinions would be able to vote.
There is one simple solution for restricting voting and that is being a net tax payer. Do you contribute? Then you get to decide what the state does.

You can't have parasites voting to give themself more resources.

There needs to be some mechanism to establish skin in the game. Land ownership, children, tax paying, gainful employment just something to prevent the moral hazards that have led to current year.

The US is more or less a gerontocracy. Congress is something like 75%+ boomers. Boomers are the largest bloc and in the coming years they will try remove property taxes, keep medicaid going and house prices up.

Your politics are retarded. Yes, yours. Even if you completely agree with me, because mine are, too.

Any time you discuss your politics in public, you should choose to shut the fuck up instead. I should, too. We're not going to do that, but we should.

Any time you discuss your retarded politics in public, you are retarded, the shit you are saying is retarded, you are showing your ass to the public.

This is why all politicians are retarded. Because all they do all day every day is be retards. It's their job.

Counterpoint, if I have to "tolerate" you, that implies you're actively a detriment to me and others. You don't "tolerate" something that's either benign or beneficial, you "tolerate" something that's harmful.

"You need to be more tolerant!" should really be taken as "You need to have a higher pain threshold!". My response is a flat "request denied".
Both of you are right to a degree- but I think the issue is:

We need to be more tolerant of the things we should be (and were) tolerant of, and we shouldn't tolerate the things we shouldn't be tolerant of.

I'd start with the untolerable: Things like child diddling, rape, random violence, etc.

The tolerable? Political disagreements and pretty much most (if not all) speech.

Somewhere along the line, we got it in our head that "if someone thinks dangerous things, theyll be likely to commit dangerous actions". Maybe thats true, maybe not- but the entire world isn't necessarily minority report and you should not be policing people for thought crimes. Maybe you should monitor them, who knows- not necessarily the full issue tbh.

The big issue is, 90% of internet discourse that should be tolerated "hay, race mixing is okay" or "hay we shouldnt have so many immigrants" gets turned into some slippery slope type thing like "omg this person is some faggy communist white genocide guy" or "omg its literally heil hitler".

The things that we should tolerate, we frankly should return to tolerating. The things we shouldn't? Actual crimes, maybe people joining actual militant organizations, etc? Yeah, we shouldn't.

Case in point? BLM, the Floyd Riots, random people who join antifa to torch a police station- etc. Thats more actionable.

Addiction isn't real OR addiction is as real as ADHD. It's just some BS diagnosis people use to justify bad behavior, but not everyone actually has it. They could just stop but choose not to and abuse the medical system and say everyone else is evil for selling it to them. If you can follow a diet or stick to an exercise regiment, you can use in moderation.

Addiction IS real but its quite treatable, there are multiple medications now available that control it, therapies etc. I wont judge people who have addictive traits but I WILL judge them for refusing to do anything about it or even acknowledge they have a problem

I don't think politics are real, in the sense that people will just support what's more convenient for them at the moment, the same people who in the younger years complained about "the rich" and about "boomers" will not hold the same beliefs once they are 60, university students will always support free university education, fat unhealthy people and boomers will always support the state paying for their healthcare, young people will almost never support a draft but old fucks are much more likely to do so because it's not them who will fight in the war, politics is not real for the vast majority of people because, if the entirety of society was forced to adopt something that agrees with their values (but it's detrimental to them), they would be against it, not everyone is like this, but most people are.

I agree with MGTOW guys on a lot of stuff, but it feels like they do not have any proper solution for the future.

They love to point out the truth of modern dating and marriages, but seem to embrace a lonely, nihilistic lifestyle without any resolution.

My retarded takes in no specific order.

Normalize CRISPR. Elimination of unwanted defects carried into the next generation.

Normalize aborting unwanted pregnancies for any reason. Elimination of population crowding from unethical reproduction that creates net negatives.

Normalize the death penalty. Recognize the inability to rehabilitate the mentally ill and feral.

Normalize penal system slavery. Cease the taxpayer burden of providing free room and food for those who do harm unto them.

Normalize prompt deportation of illegal immigrants at the expense of source countries. Hold entities accountable for the unregulated entry of undocumented individuals.

Normalize time limits on government assistance. Discourage net negative behavior by instilling urgency to contribute.

Normalize the draft. Utilize the labor of non-reproductive NEETs towards domestic and offshore national initiatives.

Normalize medically-assisted suicide. Provide the public an affordable way to seek their own death that does not involve putting others at risk or trauma.

Normalize the elimination of unconsentual palliative and hospice care. Require explicit consent for the labor and resource-intensive practices of palliative care on net negatives.

Normalize child labor and optional, privately-funded secondary schooling. Remove distracting and disruptive members of classrooms and utilize their labor for benefit.

Normalize term limits on all government positions. Prevent personal greed of nepotistic tribes, profiteers, and conspirators inhibiting societal growth.

Where do you live? It's Hyper-Normal at this point. The percentage of elective abortions from pro-life or pro-choice sources differ but it's always the majority of them. Overwhelmingly so.
It reminds me of US Justice RBG's take on the matter that boiled down to 'limited population growth in those we don't want too much of' that got some lefty puzzled when it came time to bury that bitch because it's 40%+ of black women getting abortions.

I think "What about the water usage?" in regards to AI is the modern day "carbon footprint", that is to say, it's some sort of psych op specifically to get the consumers to blame themselves rather than the powers that be.

I feel like nobody can engage with this sort of thing honestly and it's basically a form of whataboutism.
I feel like half the people couldn't even accurately describe how the data centers use the water. It truly feels like they think your requests literally go to a big machine and the big machine eats 1 tablespoon of water for every time you submit a prompt.

I also spoke to somebody about the fact that it's very much possible to run a LLM locally, even though the training process for those LLMs was still in some big data center or whatever, at what point does that initial ecological start-up cost not really matter anymore? They obviously said never. They pivoted to the electricity costs. Dude, if you are saying it's environmentally unethical to run programs on your computer, idk you better be some sort of minimalist who washes your clothes in the river and doesn't own a car.

It makes me seem like the biggest AI shill and I'm really not. I truly have not seen a single enterprise use of AI that I actually liked to work with. I will be right there cheering with a lot of other people when the bubble pops. But when random people say, "Nooo, you can't use AI to turn a 30 minute task into a 30 second task for your personal project, think about the water usage!" it just seems incredibly retarded. These things are rarely about the individual consumers.

this is what i like to call a semantic landmine because it's a piece of rhetoric purposefully designed to blow up in someone's face and make them look like a retard

Most servers aren't water cooled. On the very high end water cooled servers are some of the most expensive pieces of equipment i've ever seen in a youtube video, they are not the cost effective workhorses that google/facebook/et al are using to hoist this shit on normies, they're for research and development. I think there probably is an uptick in water cooling as data centers make decisions to cope with customer needs and as companies deploy AI accelerators but even if they do use water cooling it doesn't mean they're all going to build a giant cooling tower on the roof like a power plant or run them full throttle
