Undertale / Deltarune / Toby Fox Discussion

I just pirate it
Same. I don't pay for unfinished games anymore. (With the only exception being if they seem genuinely fun despite that. And even then I'm hesitant since they can just ruin it later.)
I think I only paid like a dollar for Undertale? And that was it.
Also tbh I'm just not a big turn based RPG or bullet hell guy so really the story was the only thing Deltarune had that I found interesting but now that it's going down the shitter I have less reason to care. Well besides laughing at the retarded fanbase anyway.

I only tried Undertale because of how overhyped it was which is when I came to the conclusion that it's alright and just alright. Far from the fucking greatest game ever that most people claim it is but I didn't entirely hate it either.

Seeing the post-nut clarity of Chapter 5 and people finally seeing "wait a minute guys, this writing might be ass" has been glorious. Deltacriticizers fully vindicated.
Sadly people who didn't like the chapter initially have started to be peer pressured into liking the chapter as to not upset the rest of the fanbase. That first week really was the most natural thoughts we'd get out of people.

I've seen someone describe the act of beginning to like Chapter 5 as "character development" which is a very scary prospect for how people engage with fictional media.

I'm trying to wrap my head around one thing. Like the so called chuds in this thread... you motherfuckers do realize that Toby Fox is a woke faggot and that he's not le secretly ebbin based, right?
Why are you so invested into this reddit tier shit that's infested to the brim with deranged faggots, trannies and pedos ( I know I said the same thing three times) ?
The game is fun to play, the story is interesting, the characters are well written. Yeah, Toby can be annoying, but his heart is in the right place, unironically.
Hate to break this to you, but there's definitely a piece of media you like that has some faggot at the wheel.

Am I supposed to think Baby Driver isn't an amazing film just because Kevin Spacey raped a bunch of guys?
The fuck do you want nigga?

The parallel doesn't work because Gaster doesn't have omniscient control over the world of Deltarune, in fact, the whole reason he summoned us was to change it. Why else would he encourage us to keep fighting the Roaring Knight despite our defeat being inevitable if this wasn't the case?
I mean it's possible that Gaster does have more control over the narrative than is suggested. Given his distant and mildly curious attitude towards us it's possible he simply dropped us into the world just to see what we'd do, not because he's powerless and needs our help. It's an experiment to him.

No matter what path you choose Gaster never judges you, he seems to be far more interested in your experience than anything else. You can choose to skip the knight or keep slamming your dick in the car door until you manage to hurt it when narratively you're absolutely not supposed to, and either way Gaster is cool with it. He encourages you because you've demonstrated that it's the path you want to take.

The guy is already powerful enough to summon and resurrect eldritch time gods and forge human bodies for them to inhabit, I think he's more than capable of changing the lives of a few teenagers if he felt like it.
