The new Predator poster is starting to trigger people and it just came out. Not just Tumblr alone, but other sites too. People are tagging it "trypophobia" even.

One of my personal hobbies is that, I like to breed birds!
And I guess, after sharing some hatchling photos on tumblr about a year ago, a few people with trypophobia didn't like seeing the chicks while their feathers were growing in and wanted me to tag all my photos of them as trypophobia.

I get the bastards are ugly during their infancy stage but, many small feather shafts on the skin aren't exactly holes. I also get that porous things can be gross looking but I think it's reached it's furthest reaches when photos of baby birds are triggering.
 
Look up "jiggers" if you really want to make yourself nauseous, they're african fleas that burrow under your skin and expand several times their starting size.

I know about chiggers, which people talked about because they live in tall grass or streams. They can give you nasty "bites" that result in red bumps and rashes.

So of course my dumb ass looks up "jiggers" thinking I'd heard the term before.

Now I wish I was dead.
 
Oh god these people migrated over to Flight Rising and threw such a shit-fit over this a few years ago. Vocal minority groups still exist to this day as users can create and submit their own skins for their dragons and there have been plenty with tiny-holes/etc that won for the monthly holiday contest that people wanted banned/removed because they couldn't handle it.

And not only user-created skins, but an official gene was added to the game awhile ago and people stated bitching over it because it "triggered" them despite it being based off Jaguar spots. Can these people not look at spotted big cats without having an aneurysm? The world may never know!

And even more recently there is a 0.1 chance that dragons can be born with multiple eyes...
Apparently people are bitching about THAT too.

Why's it such a big deal to FR users that sometimes dragons look weird or creepy? You have total control over what breeds and genes you keep in your cave, and if one's ugly you sacrifice it to the dragon gods.
I find it really hard to believe any other instance of running into like, thumbnails of circley dragons in someone else's cave or seeing the teeny tiny images of the dragons you see in the Auction House that might contain those genes if you're not specifically excluding them could set someone off in a way that would ruin their functionality and be a real health concern.

It's not hard, like at all, to just calm down and reason with yourself, there's no reason to get anyone else involved. This person in the giant paragraph here concerns me, I feel like they shouldn't be using the internet at all if it's that bad. Jesus, can you imagine living like that? With the audacity to believe other people are responsible for holding your hand through a fake online dragon game?

Edit: Also.. what uh, sort of phobia could the facet gene set off? It just looks like a cut gem stone I can't make any connections with that at all

Aww, don't be hating on parasites. They're pretty cool once you get to know them. And they are able to make some pretty crazy stories. Like the guy who had bot flies in his head, and he could hear them scraping their teeth against his skull at night. Or the worms that live inside people's eyes, and you have to slice the eye open to get them out. Or the tapeworms that get lost and end up in your brain where they make a giant cyst and kill you.

There was also that guy that got botflies in his balls. Anyway, trypophobia could be real fear but like a lot of things on Tumblr it's heavily dramatised and made more common than it actually ks
