Crossdressers have always existed but I think the idea that you can medicalize it was something that was a product of that specific time and place. They were getting in on all sorts of weird experiments and I think some of them began to mess around with it as a sort of "cure" for homosexuality. IIRC, they took the idea that the internal sense of self or orientation couldn't be changed so if you could change the body to fit in with what society wanted to see it was just as well. There was whack ass stuff like that back then and back into the Victorian times when people began to think new weird ideas to use science for.

Roid rage happens because humans convert some excess testosterone into estrogen (by an enzyme called aromatase) and taking a ton of exogenous testosterone cause an increase in estrogen and that fucks with mens emotional/psychological stability. If you have a doctor manage your steroid/testosterone use, they will give you estrogen blockers and there will be no roid rage.

Your second paragraph is me. And yet, my family thinks because I like penis (on women, and only feminized penises) that must mean I'm just in denial and confused about attraction to men. I dunno about it being a lack of self esteem. The West has been building kids' self esteem for about 50 years now and all we've gotten for that effort is widespread narcissism. That narcissism has compounded over a few generations, and has lead to decay in every conceivable social institution we have.

Self-esteem is your overall perception of your personal value and worth. It significantly influences your motivation, mental well-being, and quality of life. Understanding and maintaining a balanced level of self-esteem can help improve your relationships, decision-making, and emotional health.

Trannys have unbalanced levels of self esteem. It's on the too high side. Most perceive themselves as having considerable value and worth, and they whine constantly about others not seeing or acquiescing to it. Especially when it comes to their gender special wants that they're so convinced are existential needs. And "rights". There's no lack of motivation. Ok, maybe not so much in the job and relationship departments- but the majority are really motivated to poison and rearrange their bodies to perfect their LARP. Obsessively so. Granted, sometimes that is desperation (doing this will work/must work to make me happy) but in others it's pure arrogance. It's pure will. It's pure: "I'm right and you're wrong and you must do as I say and give me everything I want from you. Now now now." There is no lack of self esteem in those kinds of demands.

Trannys are deficient in seeing and accepting their natural limits, and in finding a reasonable level of contentment within them. All trannys exhibit an obscene lack of gratitude for what they have been given in their modern, easy lives, and their envy and covetousness (not to forget entitlement) is off the charts. They and their allies have played many of us into thinking that they're vulnerable and marginalized sad sacks with no self esteem (ahem) that we should feel sorry for, and indulge. But really they're just spoiled, disruptive brats trying to get MOAR. Moar power and control over the rest of us. So they can do whatever they want without judgement, risk, or ridicule.
