Gail is too much of a pushover to help Jace in any meaningful way, her trying to fix his mental issues with Jesus has fucked him really bad.

Also, The LFB who? These bloggers with a readership of 15 people total trying to get pageviews by exploiting someone sick like Jace is pathetic.

Yeah, I just took a peek at their content -mediocre. Not awful, just mediocre.

I'm sure nothing bad could happen to you if you try to become famous off some internet loony.

This is incredibly reminiscent of a bunch of no-note websites taking note of Chris with his recent Pepperspray incident, except Chris no longer does interviews, the one thing he learned from his years of e-infamy.

I really can't wait to see Jace upload this interview. Does theLFB actually have any recourse for "unconsented recording laws" he is throwing around? It's obvious that there is some kind of embarrassing or ridiculous reason he doesn't want the interview video to hit the web.

I've never heard of any of the guys who are interviewing Jace these days, but I hope he continues to be relatively calm and collected like he was with that Holocaust denier dude. They all expect crazy, and I like it when he acts all chill instead and doesn't deliver.

Massachusetts is a two-party consent state. If the LFB failed to get a release from Jace, I will retract my opinion they're mediocre and change my opinion to "stupid fucking idiots".

http://www.dmlp.org/legal-guide/massachusetts-recording-law

"Accordingly, if you are operating in Massachusetts, you should always inform all parties to a telephone call or conversation that you are recording, unless it is absolutely clear to everyone involved that you are recording (i.e., the recording is not "secret"). Under Massachusetts's wiretapping law, if a party to a conversation is aware that you are recording and does not want to be recorded, it is up to that person to leave the conversation."

I'm confused -LFB's complaint is that Jace agreed to be recorded, but they did not agree to let him record the same conversation?

I wouldn't be shocked if they egged him on a bit and they're worried how it would look. I mean, they're interviewing someone they know is not mentally all there. They wanted to do an article that would get hits so they chose GG and Jace is low hanging fruit they know they can get a response from. They could be worried for nothing though. I doubt they would have to poke him very hard for him to chimp out.

It's just some tryhard blogger trying to use Jace/GamerGate to generate hits. They likely tried to goad him into saying something that would make him look bad so they could blog about how he's a SRS THRAET to Brianna Wu. Their bitching about Jace recording the interview is pretty funny, IMO.

Like, I know some of the gamer food guys tried to get Jace to basically suicide by cop a couple times, but other than that this shit is way more harmful than any of the trolling could ever be. This has the potential to get someone who will actually do something to Jace to pay attention. The awful thing is that Jace will play right into people like this' hands because he loves attention.

Jace needs help, but involuntary commitment by the state isn't the way to go, it would play into his delusions too much and set him back by making him fight treatment even harder. Then there's the fact that Jace has admitted to /been taped committing god knows how many felonies. Hopefully the State of MA continues to mostly ignore him.

This particular site seems to like to do the research however, they seemed earnest in their questions to me. If anything this interview should be better than the one KoP did.

I dunno why they need to consider it, but hopefully something will be up later.

I honestly think the best thing for Jace is to let him be who he is, but try and get him to curb his illegal activities. Someone who plays video games and watches fast and furious films for an audience while spouting about his real life expertise based on what video games he's played? He'd going to try and do that no matter what barricades emerge, and trying to stop him at this point is more dangerous to Jace than letting the behavior occur (His mother tries to restrict him, he moves out and lives a rather "extreme" life with Eli for a few months). Now, keeping him from abusing drugs, getting into fights, driving a car while under the influence? Totally should happen.

Everything aside, someone needs to tell Jace to STOP TALKING to these fucking people. What started as some hilarious trolling is going to get him in trouble if he doesn't lower his profile. He can't keep on tweeting death threats and pretending to be some mercenary when morons think he's something more innocuous than some pothead/autist who plays too much Call of Duty.

IMO:
I think they are trying to make it seem like posting it might actually impact how the law handles Jace. Like it's a threat to Jace/the people who defended Jace.
Basically they are trying to feel powerful.

Little do they know that no matter what Jace will probably upload it himself no matter how incriminating it is.

What's unfortunate is Jace really can't stop talking to these fuckers because this is all he has. He genuinely thinks that THE NEWS is interviewing him because gamergate is important or something. Remember when someone sent him a faked screenshot from TMZ with his picture in it and he thought it was for real?

My guess is that their idea of horrifying is that Jace didn't deliver enough crazy for them. Or that he exposed viewpoints contrary to the SJW line.
In an unedited interview it'd be pretty hard for them not to look like the bad guys what with Jace talking about street racing his enemies and being a wolf soul while occasionally throwing up.

However in all seriousness. This whole thing reminds me of the movie Being There starring Peter Sellers. Where a childish well-meaning mentally handicapped person is used to secure the white house. Everyone around him thinks he's something important when he's not. Gamergate and the Antis keep picking the wrong battles each time coming out worse for wear.

The Antis cherry pick sexism in vidya games to an absurd degree. While the gators attacked Anita Sarkeesian in the beginning when they should've focused on Nathan Grayson. Not that the whole thing is silly to begin with - fuck, who even read Kotaku before all of this hit the fan? Video game news is about as useful as your local weather report in the Sahara desert, go outside, ask a friend, you'll figure it out.

I would argue that Jace actually wants REAL help. Not the new age god/bear equivalent of therapy he's received. He even said that himself on stream. He's more a victim of circumstance the people in his life are not helping him. Not that this would cure his attitude and drug abuse, but a little stability can work wonders.
