So much tech is outsourced now, every organisation buys in some "thing As A Service" for all their infrastructure and it's a disaster waiting to happen if all the providers are filled with jugaad and slop. Half my job is dealing with vulnerabilities in Microsoft, Amazon and whatever else the bosses in their infinite wisdom have made us use.

You're adorable. You believe Indians know how to do basic maintenance? Their entire life is designed around cutting corners and being lazy.

Other than the literal orc tech that was the RBMK, nuclear reactors are designed with failsafes for exactly that situation. If it melts down the molten nuclear fuel wont go into the air like chernobyl it will drop into an underground holding tank.

As the population of tech users increases, and tech literacy increases - we will see a drop in usage for windows OS and other windows products. As the days go by, everyone is moving to Linux (or even MacOS.)

There is a reason it's now being referred to as MicroSlop.

I recently ordered a new MacBook Pro just because Windows is so bad I couldn't take it anymore. Mac OS is UNIX based so it basically is Linux but closed source and way more stable/user friendly so thats what I ultimately went with.

You can thank the Brits for that. Asians in the UK usually refer to the people from Indian subcontinent, whereas almost everywhere else view Asians as Chinese/Japanese/Koreans.

Speaking of that, I encountered this amusing conversation in reddit where some user got butthurt at the idea of the British viewing people from Hong Kong being more similar than Indians, Pakistanis & Bangladeshis:

We used to call them Orientals to distinguish between types of Asian, but someone at the top decided that wasn't very PC, so now we don't really have a word for them other than "east Asian" or the specific nationality or slurs. We still say stuff like "oriental supermarket" for a shop run by Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Malaysians etc that sells nice Asian food, but for some reason(?) we don't call the people that any more.

It's not just the Indians. Indians are called "Asians" in demographic maps and surveys, and I think that Bri'ish government calls them "Asians" also (along with Pakistanis).
