That is if we assume he actually wants to win and this isn't some type of stepping stone or effort to boost a later venture.

Of course. It's a scam for sure. John knows, and has always known that he never stood a chance. The thing that's interesting about this particular grift though is the transparent public financial record coupled with such a spectacular failure to even make it to the first milestone.

I honestly really hope John gets on the primary ballot. The opportunities for comedy will be limitless.

The opportunity for a debate between Lynch and John, by itself, has such possibilities for hilarity.

Yeah, OK. Apparently "secret dude" collected another 200 signatures in one day. Either Wu has hired a company to collect signatures or this is just bullshit.
It's literally impossible for one person to collect 200 signatures in a day unless somehow you just had them all lined up and ready to sign at one big event.

I wonder if this mystery signature ninja is just an invention of John's so that when WU FOR CONGRESS fails he can tell people they were actually a lot closer to 2000 than the written record shows.

I keep thinking it's got to be real, because I just can't see who the lie serves when reality would disprove it a month from now.... but then again, this is Wu - the person who invented an entirely new persona just to sperg about palm pilots on the internet. Nothing is impossible.

Edit: Heh, just as I type that my overactive brain comes up with a possible reason for this to be a lie... what if this is Wu's way of telling Warren to get lost? It's probably annoying to Wu to have Warren constantly bugging her to go places and talk to people as if she were a real politician. We already saw her fake an injury to get out of one event. Is she just faking the signature collection to get Warren to piss the hell off? Oh well, not too long until we find out I guess.

It's no coincidence this "mystery dude" collecting 200 signatures a day magically appeared only after people on Twitter exposed how pathetic her campaign is doing and Brianna is trying her hardest to make it seem like she's winning.

Warren is simply being lied to after someone tweeted out pictures of his FB posts exposing the scampaign. This is the Wu's way of keeping him on a leash. They can't make him shut up, but they can make him spew nonsense. I agree though, it's incredibly dumb to lie about this when the truth bomb will go off in a month regardless. But Brianna has never really been one to think ahead... well, never think at all.

The sudden Mystery Staffer collecting 200 signatures at a time is for the same reason as Brianna is claiming on the day of a spree shooting that people write big checks if you promise them you will grab guns. Brianna discovered that they won’t write checks if you have no statistical chance of even being on the ballot. So in tru Wu fashion Brianne lies.

Maybe John/Brianna whined and threatened Frank and they took out another loan against Frank’s 401k to hire a professional? Although, I agree with people claiming it’s bullshit “new guy” is getting 200 signatures a day.

I work in an extremely populated area in a fairly large city, we routinely have signature gatherers outside our offices. Everyone avoids them as much as possible. I asked one how many sigs they gather in a day and they said around 30-40 on a good day. They don’t have to ensure people live in the correct district just that they’re registered voters.

We’ll see, I think it’s incredibly stupid for John to lie about this because it will be public in a few weeks when the signatures are due and when they file the Q2 financials. However, John/Brianna created a Patreon to hire a make believe pregnant woman to manage his social media account. He’s not above making grandiose claims and lies to make himself seem important and popular because he knows no one will validate them and anyone who pushes back is an alt-right gamergater.

The people stupid enough to give John money are those most likely to double down on their devotion despite concrete evidence they've been duped (hat tip to Leon Festinger).

I reckon it's Brianna lying to Warren either so he'll distribute false information, like @Flopwop suggested, but I'm also thinking its to make Warren work harder. She probably phoned him up, said "the new guy is pulling 200 signatures a day, Warren. Why can't you do just 25? You're letting the team down, Warren. Do you really want Steven to win?".

That's exactly the kind of scumbag manipulation and mental torture I'd expect from a grifter like Brianna.

I can certainly buy this explanation. It would fit very well with patterns of John's past behavior. The funny thing is that with the kind of money John took in, just paying a service to do it would have likely guaranteed success and would have been vastly less net effort than all of the manipulation and games and dealing with a lunatic like Warren to begin with. Had he done that though, he likely wouldn't' have had the budget to make the idiotic campaign ads that no on in his district likely even saw -- but he might actually be on the ballot. I guess it's all part of John's 15 dimensional autistic chess game.

Brianna doesn't want to actually win though, or even get on the ballot. She wants to get the attention without the responsibility of having to ever actually follow through on anything. She's the armchair coach who's never stepped foot on the field but knows exactly what should be done.
And having a team of professionals isn't as fun as having a bitch boy like Warren she lord over and boss around. Brianna wants power and control. Competent people aren't so easily controlled by someone as clearly incompetent as Brianna. She needs someone lower on the pecking order, so she found Warren.

FWIW when we did the "all hands on deck" thing for spring petitioning we were "done" for the day when we got 10 signatures and done for the week when we got 30. If you wanted to just get 30 in one day that was cool but they asked us to keep going until we got 30 for the week. Of course we were doing targeted walks and going to homes we knew were registered with our party in the district. IIRC it usually took about three hours total to get the 30, about 10 an hour using walksheets. The biggest hindrance was people that just weren't home.

Without sperging too much more on the process of getting the signatures it's really just an organization problem. Good practices and good data will make it quite easy. The actual physical labor is still needed (pounding the pavement) but it's greatly reduced by the efficiency of using the data to narrow your targets.

Wu's campaign is way too disorganized to do this in any efficient matter.
