It's about whether that kind of content is still annoying, attention-seeking, or deserving of mockery. Josh saying "women can post about their periods in BP" doesn’t magically shield it from being viewed as oversharing. I don't really think having a short span of time of trying to find a job or living with your parents in your early twentys is really super humilating or hilarious infomation, but sure.

This information on it's own is nothing to be embarrassed by and I really do mean it when I say I wish you luck, because it can be tough out there for the younger crowd. But in the context of a thread where you are the center of negative attention, it doesn't make sense to volunteer information about yourself. If there was someone that you didn't get along with, would you willingly tell them your age, employment status, or who you live with?

Any information you provide to people pushing back against you is going to be re-contextualized.
