Tumblr thinks this episode is a bad influence on kids because the episode wasn't nuanced enough. But somehow kids will understand Steven Universe's lgbt undertones. Jesus fucking Christ, the episode mostly mocked Gumball who doxxed people and get obsessive of a person. If anything Gumball could represent the weens in this website more than sjws.

And do they really think that a one off joke will affect a child's thinking? The network has reruns of ttg for 70% of the day, and the rest only exist because of adult swim.

Holy shit, Gumball is now apparently on the level of South Park to these people now.

This is the same show that has already made fun of scientologists, cultists, literally had the face of Trump and called him a villain, made fun of the US election system, shows tons of fucked up imagery to kids, mocked fascism, censorship, divorce, adoption, accidental pregnancy, the establishment/corporate culture, etc. etc. etc. and THIS is what they're getting pissed about?

If I were a parent, I'd at least say this is better for kids than having two lesbians passionately kiss and perform numerous sexual innuendos on the fucking screen. At least here, the kid probably won't get it until they were waaay older.

This comes to mind when it comes to the people being salty about this show.


I can't help but feel we are no longer teaching kids to think for themselves. Rather than enabling them to observe and understand the world around them, instead just blind obedience to what these chuckleheads think is and is not appropriate for them. Children aren't being challenged like they used to, and the type of overly-sanitized, politically correct media that society used to mock is being pushed as the new norm. It's like the anti-90s or something.
