This is the one game I thought our outraged culture wouldn't fling shit at like chimps at the zoo, but I guess even one of the most family friendly franchises will spark tantrums at this point. Un-fucking-believable.

I want to honestly ask these people what games they do like, because I'm convinced they do not like games.

I'm sure they're still just bitter about the Watergate reference in Paper Mario they mistook as a GamerGate reference because who doesn't constantly think about Zoe?

The reason SJWs aren't a profitable demographic to pander to, and why attempts to do so fail, is that they don't actually enjoy ANYTHING. They were never going to see that movie, or play that game, or watch that show, because they're just allergic to fun. Their lives revolve around pissing and moaning about things, and if something isn't "problematic", then it simply doesn't exist in their world. If Mario didn't have a sombrero, it doesn't mean they'd play it, or buy it, it just means they'll move on to something else.

Giving SJWs any attention is a net loss if you're in the business of making stuff. That's why they'll be irrelevant until the day you can buy groceries with hashtags.

Hey, itsa me! Mario! I live ina New York and feexa the pipes for a job, love spaghetti with a meatballs. Know who I shoulda be shamed of stereotyping? Wrong! Mexicans!!!!

Like Japan gives a crap about what some sheltered tumblrist in suburban America thinks is racist or not.
Especially when the core demographic of Mario games are like six-year-old boys.

Same, I'm so glad Nintendo is even dedicating a whole world to Mexican/Latino culture. For a country that's 98% Japanese natives, focusing on Latino culture is rare. Even rarer for North America, despite way more Latinos living there.

One interesting thing I found, there's more Japanese people living on Brazil than there are Japanese people living in the US.
Some Ainu people will beg to differ who is a "Japanese native." Regardless, the Japanese as a whole are assimilated and mostly of East Asian origin, like we were as West Europeans in the past.

People forget or are completely oblivious to the fact Latin American countries had far more lenient immigration laws than the United States.

Frankly the Mexican level makes the country look better than the drug and child prostitute-infested shithole it is, a la the Disney effect.

Ironically, these SJW's are trying to turn a supposedly racist and segregated world into exactly that.

No one is allowed to wear sombreros except Mexicans.

No one is allowed to wear green except Irish.

No one is allowed to say "Niggah" except blacks.

No one is allowed to say "Domo Arigato" except for the guys from Styx.

No one is allowed to drink Coke Zeero except for @Null.

The world would become a very sterile and boring place. Thank god for human curiosity and interest.

Yeah, it's one of the inherit flaws of this current type of leftism, cultural protectionism, I have no idea what to call it? On one hand they want things to be inclusive and intersectional and connected but simultaneously everything has to be sectioned off and separated and divided by race/country/ethnicity.

Is it bad this was predictable? I saw it coming upon watching the trailer.

I asked a sjw once how globalism can be good if cultural exchange is bad. She sneered at me and walked off.

I've found some salt even dumber than the Mario in a sombrero thing.

Dobby, Mario doesn't need to possess you to fuck your wife, if you had one.

I would say it's a long welcomed addition to even do so (noticed hints of el dia de los muertos too, and that is not a bad thing).

I've noticed that when people complain about racism in a context like this, they end up sounding way more racist than the thing they're complaining about. The way they're getting upset about mariachi Mario makes it seem like they think that sombreros and mariachi are a negative representation of Mexican culture. In reality, sombreros and mariachi music are fucking badass.
I'm sure sombreros come in handy on hot sunny days. Those just seem so pratical it's a shame people don't even notice. I used to watch Disney's Saludios Amigos and The Three Caballeros many times becaused I loved looking into Latin American culture and its people of that era.

Fuck, I remember having an argument with someone who thought that just saying "Mexican" was racist. He understood that you aren't supposed to say all brown people are Mexicans, but somehow he decided the word itself was racist. If you think that calling someone Mexican is a horrible insult, you probably don't think very highly of Mexicans.

So in conclusion all these people hate Mexicans.

I also find it kind of a downer that this a generation that's wasting its youth complaining about 'problematic' things when they won't see any fun in their middle age/senior years once all that youthful nature is gone.

It's certainly a leftism I didn't ask for.

What an asshole.

If it could happen to Times Square, who knows!
