I would say yes, broadly speaking. The language describing them just changed fashion, with everything being based around the word "woke" now. SJW now feels quaint.

But you could say the language shift goes along with a shift in the general feeling of these types of people. Social Justice Warrior was originally a sarcastic insult towards teenagers and young adults on Tumblr and adjacent sites who acted overly aggressive and morally superior over what were effectively still shallow and immature beliefs. It was an insult that came from a place at least partially in looking down at them as naive. As time has passed and those same people grew older without changing their beliefs or how they act, in fact they tripled-down harder, you now have a bunch of grown-ass adults in their 30s and 40s acting this way, sometimes in positions of soft power, so now instead of naive they just look like emotionally-stunted, insane assholes.

I find that woke people used to know on some level that they were trying to make fetch happen, now they make it seem like it's already happened. For instance, I've noticed there's this very specific flavor of woke person, usually male, that has the brash attitude of someone who someone who would have been an anti-SJW circa the mid-late '10s, but who has the wokest opinions. Reading too much stuff from these people lowkey drives me crazy and has me second-guessing myself, like I think, ''oh no, this person who doesn't vibe like your stereotypical limp-wristed Redditor is spouting woke opinions, maybe I'm not woke enough,'' but then I tell myself to snap out of it. EDIT: I think the people who comment with ''AI slop'' on everything AI-generated on Instagram are an example of the archetype I talked about. The people who do that have the same energy of people who would have been stereotypical teenage cyberbullies in the '10s regardless of whether they were actually old enough for old Instagram and Facebook to be that.

I think guys like that are a consequence of Tumblr politics breaking containment. They're dudes who would've been or used to be more like casual lib-left types who mostly supported left causes out a "everyone should just like, be free to do whatever they want that doesn't hurt others" mentality and dislike for the conservative moral guardian types, but in the current socio-political environment they end up surrounded by the more loony leftists who demand everyone be 100% devoted to the omnicause (as those types have taken control of discourse and "the left" basically is that now), so they end up thinking that's normal and that they have to aggressively signal they support trans right or whatever the fuck or else they risk becoming a complete social pariah.

I think it's amazing people can watch their movement collapsing because it has become so openly repulsive that normal people are horrified by it, and think that the real problem is they haven't gotten even more pedophilic and perverse.

It's always funny to see the discourse. Instead of seeing it as paying homage to Black music in the West, the kind of black music we don't make anymore, they claim that it's stolen. Modern K-pop doesn't (afaik) doesn't promote degeneracy.

That seems to be how Western SJWs explain why Western and East Asian nations do well while the Third World is the Third World, while vilifying traits of civilized society -- such as punctuality and logic -- as "whiteness" which they see as a disease. The cult-like SJWs think all ways and traditions "cultures" are "equal"... except white Western.

I rarely see these people irl due to not living in a college town or a major coastal city, but it’s happened. The liberal intelligentsia lives in a completely different universe, which happens to be up their own asses where they keep their heads.

Honestly as a member of the skittle squad myself I wish I could still make jokes like that but it feels distasteful and cringe in the big 2026. It feels like it's legitimizing people who say that shit and mean it. I don't want to encourage that behavior. I think that's also why homophobic jokes also come across as funnier to me too, because it's the opposite of the safe "huehue everything is gay" type of "humor" so many people have.
 
How can that far left believe that letting in endless waves of "refugees" from underdeveloped nations won't turn more developed countries into yet more underdeveloped places because the "refugees" retain the ways they followed back home? Even when they see the changes in real life? How are the SJW cultists convinced that mixing incompatible ways and traditions "cultures" will somehow work out? Must've taken some serious "social engineering" to favor "multiculturalism" and think it's "fascist" to oppose open borders.

They know it won’t. They’ve moved past this some time ago. Now migration is "our fault" because we colonized their countries or bombed then or we’re somehow responsible that they’re poor.
