The idea is that supporting Russia is a rebuke against the Global American Empire (GAE) because they see Russia as this bastion of white European identity while ignoring the massive amounts of Muslims in a multicultural nation, which Putin himself pointed out in his not an invasion speech.

But yes BASED Russia will liberate the white nationalist catboy coalition from globalists. They’re not just using Fuentes as a useful idiot for propaganda purposes back home.

I think there are two reasons:

1. Contrarionism: "the lefty cucks cheerlead Ukraine so we HAVE TO cheerlead Russia or else the groypers might think we are lefties too"

2. Diversion: "I know we may fuck up with all the other stuff on AF but we can at least be on common ground with the fact that Putin-sama is based, right?!"

Put on your tinfoil hats niggers, because I'm about to drop a conspiracy with 0 evidence and 0 reasoning why I should elaborate on this. What if America First is actually an FSB psyop to find collaborators in a future war between Russia and the U.S.? It may sound stupid but its not that crazy when you consider that in 2017, the FBI did find out the Chinese military stole personal information from 150 millions Americans. And to add on the fact, the FBI has been having to ramp up counterintelligence cases directed at the Chinese government and the FSB.

It's 100% just contrarianism. I don't think he's really trying to use Russia support as a distraction from anything else, because that would imply there's major points of contention where Nick diverges from his audience. The groyper's belief system is whatever Nick says it is.

Why did they pick the dumbest people in the entire nation with zero practical pull. Russia takes over and they’ll sit at home live-streaming still, not a win.
 
I am not a Groyper but personally if I had to have a dog in this fight it’s Pro-Russia. I do admit I’m biased because I’m Eastern Orthodox, I’m not a White Nationalist and I think Fuentes is a retard supporting Russia for the wrong reasons.

The reason I support Russia over Ukraine is that Crimea, Luhansk, and Donetsk are primarily Russophone and Crimea has a significant Tatar minority and the Ukrainians have been suppressing the use of their languages. I don’t believe Putin is doing any of this for altruistic reasons. He’s interested in the Natural Gas and industry more than anything else. It’s not that I’m a Putin fanboy or a hard Russophile I do really just think these people have a right to self determination and if that means them joining the country of Russia I’m totally okay with it. I think both sides have made some big mistakes and Russia has been very heavy handed with mixed results. At the end of the day I think Russia is more in the right on the premise, but wrong about how they’ve handled it.

I do not believe Russia actually wants any more than those territories per se, I mean if they thought they could get more they certainly would but they’re acting as if they are making those demands so they have something to give up in negotiations. On the other hand, Ukraine is trying desperately to hold on to areas where the majority of the population has said they want to join Russia since the mid 2000s and it’s mainly in the interest of Naval Bases and Natural Gas on their end.

I’d never proclaim myself Russia First unless I lived in Russia. Even if I lived in Russia I’d say I had a mixed view of Putin in general. I have compared him to Francisco Franco more than once. He’s not an ideal leader but I don’t know who’s a better alternative. If someone has a suggestion though I’m certainly open to it.

Even before supporting Russia, Nick had basically been supporting Anglin's China First position, basically that China should take over as dominant superpower and win a war against the USA. Anglin's audience often fantasised about China fighting a war against the USA, and 'liberating' them.

It does seem like Nick should rename the movement Anybody-but-America First.
