looks like bone conductor earphones. might be part of a hearing aid, i wouldnt doubt it considering how old and what bad shape his body is. but could just be connected to his phone.

How out of shape he is probably doesn't matter. I hate to remind everyone of this, especially myself, but Rich is the oldest RLM guy and he's pushing fifty. Definitely not too young for hearing aids.

Doesn't seem like Rich was wearing them as recently as 1 month ago (Wheel of the Worst 28 ), but I recall he was wearing them while working on the Salt Vampire mask 2 months ago. If they were hearing aids, he'd always have them, so I think they're just regular bone conduction headphones.
I wear them nearly all the time, to the point I worry they're creating a groove into my skull. I wonder if people who see me around think I'm deaf...

Those are 100% bone conducting headphones, which are amazing for situations in which you don’t care about audio fidelity. I have the exact same pair.
