I imagine the reason why Pride month didn't last so long this year outside of the pro-globohomo corporations is due to how people tried to focus on other things like "Men's mental health awareness month" or shitposts like Jurassic June instead of going all in on Pride.

Some of it's economic/political related since Larry Fink is upset he painted such a big target on his back. But some of it is frog-boiling. If they can get you to celebrate there's only one big Pride Month display instead of three or four, that's a win for them because they just made that the new normal. They're masters at manipulating the Overton Window like that, hence why having social views akin to the average Democrat in 2012 is now far-right.

Maybe I don't have the brainpower to articulate it at the moment, but this strikes me as a bit odd, and kind of stupid if the artist is upset at the censorship.

Erasing the 'not just your cis-ters' part is just them being lumped together into the broader women label, which is what they want, right? They certainly don't want to feel more special than non-trans women...

Right?

So some pride event involving a petting zoo gets the expected emails pointing out that luring kids is exactly the kind of thing predators do (remember all those warning videos you saw as a kid about predators getting kids to help look for their lost dog or getting them to come over and see their dog? I do) and by coincidence a couple animals die shortly afterwards - and by their own admission this had nothing to do with the emails and yet it still makes it into the media and gets pushed as an implied connection and some kind of implied hate crime

Look at the weasel language they're using:

There shouldn't be petting zoos there. Petting zoos are for kids and not for celebrations of sexuality, where kids also shouldn't be. Because Pride, at its core, was a celebration of sexuality and expression of it. Counter-culture stuff.

It's been homogenized with this ren faire corpo bullshit where it's fun for the whole family. It comes off as weird, tonally dissonant, and extremely tone deaf.

It's WILLINGLY tone deaf when they're faced with criticism and concern that is ignored or deflected with talk of separate organizations with their own share of issues, which is its own can of worms.

Keep an eye on it all, because there's subtle and evergrowing signs from within the community of OG faggots who are sick of everything that goes beyond LGB and silently regret letting them in to ride coattails.

And then there's the growing amount of people with a functional brain who can go 'wait a minute, why IS there a petting zoo at Pride?'

Parents need to stop bringing their kids to these things, anyone who wants them there or assures it's fine for them to be there is full of crap, a sellout, a pedophile, or someone extremely unobservant.
