It's now marked as "sold." Also, you can't appreciate this item without seeing the side angles:

At first I thought it was just a juggalo mask that was stuffed inside a rosé bottle. It's more like an actual juggalo's skinned face glued to the outside of a moscato bottle. Something about it being pink moscato seems so appropriate.

If I were someone who collected "outsider art" I would buy this, it kind of looks cool/unique in a similar way to the Sanic totem to me. Would be nice as a part of a collection of weird art stuff.

One thing/subject that is very fitting for this topic are "Pakimascus" knives.

Often sold as "hand crafted Damascus", they're found everywhere and are sold at gun shows, on Etsy, Amazon, etc because it's super cheap to buy them and then resell them at a much higher price, especially if you buy the blanks and then add your own handles.

Telltale signs are a soupy pattern to the blades, because they're made from pot metal and other materials of a highly questionable origin, a lack of hardening/temper; these blades will not hold an edge and are easily bent, file work on the spine, which is often uneven and quickly done, a mosaic pin in the handle, and for some reason, I guess because the snaps were super cheap and plentiful, State of Oklahoma branded snaps on the sheaths.

These things are pervasive as fuck and so many people get duped into buying them, either for themselves or as gifts to other people. There are a lot of people who buy these things in bulk and then resell them, claiming that they're the blade smith who has made them and at first glance, they look nice and it's easy to fool people into paying $100+ for a knife that is actually worth about $10.

ETA; thanks based mod for fixing my brain fart about thumbnails!

So for those who don't sell on GunBroker, its an absolute racket.

  • Imagine Ebay but for guns, except there's no in built payment processor, meaning private sellers can only accept payment by a shipped money order. GunBroker  had an inbuilt payment processor (Outdoor pay) but Gunbroker shut it down for unknown reasons.
  • Additionally everything must be done manually. You must set the shipping price yourself, buy the shipping label yourself, and then add the tracking to the order manually.
  • You cannot save a listing as a draft either. You either list the item, or lose all progress you made and have to redo the listing entirely. You have to keep the tab open to not lose where you were.
  • As you might imagine, there is a  vast range of guns, manufacturers, and calibers. Gunbroker however, doesn't care. They have a set list of manufacturers, models, and calibers. If your gun doesn't fit, sucks to be you, its an "other" and you cannot even type in a custom element.
  • Gunbroker has no inbuilt messaging system either. If you want to message a buyer, it will only go through gunbroker to the buyer's email. Maybe somewhat useful, but if the buyer doesn't ever check their email, sucks to be you
Why is GunBroker so awful?
Simple, like every other reason that any other company in the gun space is miserable to deal with: there's just not any real competition.
The only major competitor to GunBroker is Armslist, which is worse than GunBroker,  and requires a paid subscription to use as a seller or as a buyer.

Okay I guess I do have to offer a comment: I had no idea there was a whole "Weird Stuff" category on eBay, complete with a "Slightly Unusual" subcategory. There are also, as it turns out, "Really Weird" and "Totally Bizarre" subcategories. I have now dipped the tip of my toe into these rabbitholes and it has restored my faith in humanity as a species of loony freaks. We're not just populated with hateful psychotics and Karens. We are a people of love and appreciation for Weird Stuff, eager to share that love with the like-minded (for a price).

For real, click that link. You won't be disappointed.

I hate FB marketplace. People gotta realize I'm not paying internet prices when I have to contact you, compete with other potential buyers, work out a price, date, and time, and waste gas to go pick up junk you don't even fucking want which is why you're selling it on marketplace. If you want to charge internet prices, sell it on ebay. Not to mention it's a risk you'll drive there and they'll say "sorry someone got here before you even though we had an agreed upon time and you told me you were on your way" or just ghost you.
