People conflate this as a dishonest motivation, but in reality it’s the most honest there is. Where things have gotten murky is that modern works whose motivation is money get undercut by putting out a low quality product. One Piece is on the downswing and Oda’s intentions for the series conclusion is for it to be bigger than ever before, it’s only natural for everyone involved to try and capitalize on it as much as possible. But yeah, "money" is always the reason.
There is also a fact that this is a chance to clean up the early anime's pacing issues.People conflate this as a dishonest motivation, but in reality it’s the most honest there is. Sorry for your loss.Chapter time .
Also, this is the first chapter since my buddy I talk One Piece with took his own life. So this one carries a little more weight for me. RIP, Grant.
I’m willing to bet this is the only hit he gets on Imu because Oda doesn’t want people to connect the dots too early, and because he wants Luffy vs Imu to be a big deal if happens in earnest. As it stands, this may be the same as that punch on Charlos, which also means that the finale will be Marineford 2.0 looks more likely.also is about time luffy got a punch in. so what are the odds that punch is the best hit he gets on imu
Apparently Oda said the final battle's supposed to blow Marineford out of the water, so I can see there being parallels drawn between pre-and-post-timeskip.which also means that the finale will be Marineford 2.0 looks more likely.
A war for control of the world should blow Marineford out of the water..Apparently Oda said the final battle's supposed to blow Marineford out of the water

And how would that be done? Marineford started out with Ace scheduled to be executed.A war for control of the world should blow Marineford out of the water..
The One Piece has to be claimed, for starters. And how would that be done? Marineford started out with Ace scheduled to be executed.
Luffy is going to be executed! And how would that be done? Marineford started out with Ace scheduled to be executed.
my theory currently is that imu is going to reveal himself to the world and maybe even decide to take out every island until only mary geoise remains. whatever happens its gotta be something big enough that everyone joins in to help just like whats shown on elbaph. And how would that be done? Marineford started out with Ace scheduled to be executed.
this happened once already but the idea of luffy being captured after getting the one piece and everyone being forced to come together to save him sounds interesting and would definitely solve the issue of luffy being the answer to most major problems in the series. plus i can imagine sabo being the one to save him so in a way its like ace saving luffy this time.Luffy is going to be executed!
